| Can anyone help?!?! I found this ad and was touched by it... I don't have any experiences nor advices for this person, but thought others on YT would. I would HATE to see those dogs go to the shelter... (Urgently Need Help Dealing with Unfair Neighbor Issues) Urgently Need Help Dealing with Unfair Neighbor Issues Hey Guys, I am a proud owner of four loving dogs, who are all rescues. I know it's a lot, and I know some of you guys probably think I'm even hoarding, but I assure you, I make time for them. However, one of my neighbors, who I'd hate hate to antagonize about, has made false reports of my dogs barking. Actually, they do bark, but absolutely not to the point it is nuisance barking or habitual barking, in my opinion. I may seemed biased in my words because these are my loyal dogs, but I am not in any means lessening how much they actually bark. These dogs bark just as any other dog would. However, my concern is that these dogs will be taken away. I cannot, and will not stand while my dogs are taken away. If my dogs could find homes, I would let them be taken in an instant. However, my dogs are all special needs. In fact, let me tell you a bit about them now. My first dog is Ray. He is a massive dog, and he weighs about 100 pounds. He is slightly dog aggressive, and has attempted to hurt my smaller dogs. However, this was caused through no fault of his own. Rescuers believe he was a former bait dog who was used to train other dogs to attack them. He was also on the street for quite a while, and tragically, he may have eaten prey animals as a food source. I may not be convincing you to help me, but I know it is only fair that you guys know. The second dog is extremely important to me, although I love all my dogs equally. Her name is Muneca. It means doll in Spanish, and she truly is my little doll. She is my senior chow chow Akita mix. Her owners had her for around 10 years, and her owners happened to be one of my neighbor's. One day, I looked on LA Animal Service's website and I found her. I could not believe my eyes when I saw her there. The next thing I knew, I was going around school asking for donations to pull her out. I was disgusted to hear that some people did not want to donate because she was old, but I got enough people to donate to pull her out. What made me sad was that after 10 years of loyalty, her owners abandoned her at a shelter in the years she needed them most. The third dog is Keisha. She is a small spaniel mix with gorgeous flowy, locks. I am not too worried about barking from her because she is so quiet. However, if Animal Control does take away my animals, I know they will take her as well, and she will not make it in a shelter because she is so skittish. In fact, she bit me the first day I had her. I cannot let her life be extinguished just because not many people are capable of taking the time to gain a dog's trust. I know saying this makes me seem like I lack faith in the human race, but how can't I these days. I know there are many good people these days, but many of us have become corrupt. Anyway, the fourth dog is a very tragic story. Her name is Brooks. She came in not too long ago. It is almost as if she knew I would do my best to help her, and I have been. I felt so sorry for her. She has an array of problems. For one thing she has a mammary tumor the size of a tennis ball. She also has back problems that impair her ability to walk. What kills me the most is that she craves affection, but cannot receive it because she has such dry skin that she pees herself when you try to touch her. Yes, it hurts that much. I took her to a vet to see if it was best to have her put down, but we both felt that with some love and medication, she would get better. She had a litter of pups recently, before I adopted her, and I can tell they sucked the life out of her. I hate how the puppies are always adopted, but mothers are always left behind, but I'm not here to preach to you. Moving forward, without me, these dogs would most likely be dead. I take dogs that nobody wants, or at least nobody wanted them while they were at the shelter. These are the underdogs, the ones nobody likes. They are misjudged, and sometimes people, like the lady who is always complaining, just want them exterminated. Please help me. My precious dogs are in danger. Any advise before I go to court would help. That's all I really need. Please, please, please help me. I'm already handing petitions around the neighborhood. I am only a teen and this is too much drama for me to handle, but I would rather die than to hand my dogs to a shelter. I know they do their best to rehome, but in a place where so many other dogs are available, why would people want to adopt my underdogs? They would be euthanized in an instant. Please give me any advise or tell me your experience with this if anyone has ever had to go to court over false offenses. Just please give me a few words of advise. Sincerely, Nicko

| Or set up some sort or nanny cam to see if the dogs really do cause a ruckus when she's not home. It can also help if she ends up going to court.

| This is a good idea. I read once about someone who had a dog complaint filed against them, and after some investigation it turned out the neighbour was inciting the dog to bark by knocking at the door! |

| A firend of mine had a similar problem but it concern a miniature horse and donkey. She almost lost them both. They set up cameras all over the yard. Come to find out the nieghbors were setting the animals up. recording them making a lot of noises and would report them. After viewing the tape the neighbors were teasing the animal throwing things at them to make them make noises. Needless to say the mean neighbors moved away and the donkey and horse are at home happy. Some people just have no joy in life and like to make others life a living H*ll. |
