| Peanut had a breakthrough! Peanut has always been nervous, at best, around little kids like 5 or 6 and younger so when they are around I hold him or put him behind the gate in the hallway. Well, for the last 2 days our 6 year old grandson has been wanting to come here after school until his Mom gets done working. He absolutely loves our dogs so he wanted to make friends with Peanut. He sat in the kitchen chair and I handed Peanut to him while I stayed right there. He gently patted him and was very careful in his movements. He did this a few times at the table or on the couch and after a short while Peanut was giving him kisses while wagging his tail and then smiling at him! It was so cute! Peanut was a little more relaxed after he left but my girls were sad. The girls loooove kids so they have a good time when our grandson comes over but when he leaves they lay at the front door waiting for him to come back. Moo even jumped off of my lap to go to the door when she heard a truck that sounded like our son's...she thought he was bring her little buddy back...poor Miss Moo |

| Good boy Peanut! So your little grandson is a dog therapist I see. That's such a sweet story. Sorry for the girls tho. No attention for them today. |

| What a cute story! Peanut couldn't resist your grandson. That's sweet about your girls, too.

| Yes, our grandson has helped little Peanut get used to kids...he's very good with animals and he loves them all. He fell in love with our girls the first time he saw them. He said he loved them and wanted to keep them but his Mom told him they were Grandma and Grandpa's new puppies and they couldn't stay and he was upset. Since then he comes over to run and romp with them whenever he can. Sometimes I feel guilty because the girls love kids so much and we don't run and play with them as often as they want to...guess our grandson will have to stop over more often. |

| Your grandson must have a wonderful way with animals. I'm happy to hear that Peanut enjoyed being with him. Maybe your grandson will become a veterinarian someday!! |

| So glad to hear Peanut is coming along. My Zhoie doesn't care for little ones either. She doesn't get much opportunity to be around small ones and that makes me sad for her.

| Hmmm...a vet in the family...that would be nice! But, he has a total fascination with cars and motorcycles...started riding at 2 or 3 with training wheels on his dirtbike. Perrella...I'm not sure if Peanut was ever around kids before coming here or maybe he was and got hurt but he doesn't care for toddlers to 5 or 6 years old. He's fine with our grandson as long as he's being gentle and sitting still but if he runs through the house Peanut will still bark at him...but...he barks at my girls when they run through the room too. |
