| Bella has gained some weight! The last time I weighed her she was just under 4 lbs about 3 weeks ago. Last night she weighed in at 4lbs 8oz! Curiosity got me because she's feeling more "plump" these days. I just switched her dog food a week and a half ago to Halo and she LOVES it! Alot! She eats it up in a heartbeat! Before that she was on IVet that her veterinarian put her on, but just picking at it here and there.

| funny ..because I have been going through the same with my Remy. She was always too skinny.. steady at 3.5 lbs for awhile. I had Remy spade at about 13 months. and then she gained a whole pound in a few weeks!!! Remy is now a little over 4 1/2 (4.5) lbs. She feels so plump!! I love it but I don't want her to gain anymore!! How old is your baby? Anything else change except for the food? I did find a website about how to tell if you dog is fat.. my older dog failed!!!

| She is 5 1/2 mos old. The Vet told me he had her pegged at 5-6lbs or so full grown. I think she may prove that theory wrong! lol I like the fact of her gaining weight cause she's still a pup. I don't however want her to get overweight where it is unhealthy for her. We go to the vet next week so I am going to ask his opinion on that. I know he won't be happy that I took her off IVet, but what am I suppose to do if she won't eat it?! He kept telling me to give it time. All the meanwhile I noticed she wasn't gaining any weight. Not losing any, but just not gaining. Then he reassured me that her growth at this stage wouldn't be as rapid and more gradual. IDK?

| Thanks Chachi, I couldn't love this little girl more if I had actually given birth to her myself!

| How old is Bella? And the other biggy question is she neutered? Aside from the fact she might just like the new food, change is good, and she might be going through a growing spell. If all the other signs are good ie: eyes, teeth, pee/poop, energy, my vet told me and I was a very much newby to dogs, check those things I listed above, and if you can still feel there ribs and or back bones but not sharp, then they don't weight too much. Now with that said, if Bella quites drinking to the vet ASAP, that is the one qualifier I was given and I live by, I just love our vet, she is part of our family now we have been so many times, I was such a scardy cat New food is fun, I like new stuff don't you? Good luck keep us posted

| LMBO at shodanusmc! Her dog groomer recommended this new food. She said her dogs love it! I figured I would give it a try (well not literally ). She gave us a sample, and I was sold! In answer to a few questions, she is 5 1/2 mos old and no, she is not spayed...yet. That is on the list of things to do, I'm just so afraid for her to have anesthesia. I know, I know, everyone says it's safe. I've just had a bad experience with my 1 yr old and anesthesia (he has medical issues) nearly taking his life..so I'm hesitant aka traumatized!
