Donating YT 500 Club Member | Pet Safe Cleaners The floors in my apartment are all slate. I have no carpet except for a few rugs. What do you recommend for a safe alternatives to mop my floors with? I am looking at Mrs. Meyers, I really love how they smell. And I know Petsmart carries one as well... What do you like to use?

| I use Mr. Clean, but I make sure that I only use a very little bit in lots of water, and it has to dry completely before I let the dog back out. Do NOT use Pinesol, my breeder told me that someone she once sold a puppy to actually killed the dog (obviously not on purpose) by using it, cause the dog licked the floor after it was washed. needless to say that's part of her education to dog owners now. Also when all else fails and I need to clean something I use bleach. I just make sure that it's washed and rinsed twice and then dries well.

| That's really not a bad idea, do the floors get super slippery with that?

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | We were just talking about this on another thread. I use the LA cleaners Life's Abundance because they are totally safe and WORK and I have either expecting moms or pups walking on my floors and I have to be completely safe with what I use. its also safe for our enviroment (smells nice too and not over powering at all) I gave some to my family to try and they are hooked too. |

| I use just vinegar and water now. I found it works well, takes away any doggy smells and does not streak as much as regular floor cleaners. I finish with a steam cleaner which takes away any streaks that might still be there and it also kills any lingering germs. I have porceline tile but think this would work well on your slate too.
