Newbie Mom Hi All, I just want to introduce myself and my new baby Lucy , She’s 8 weeks old and 2.5 lbs. I just adopted her Saturday. Up for any suggestions about sleeping . we keep her in a doggie playpen at night and while we’re at work. We haven’t had a quiet night yet. Some are better than others. Bee

Welcome to YT! I am a newbie too! We got Teddy 3 weeks ago and the first nights were the hardest. We keep Teddy in an x-pen too at night and during the day while we are at work. My boyfriend and I each put one of our worn t-shirts in his bed and tada Teddy stopped crying at night. The scent on our t-shirts really helped. Good luck! Can't wait to see pictures of your baby!

I got my baby Charlie for Valentine's Day. We tried at first to keep him in his kennel all night, beside the bed, but after a couple of nights we just couldn't take the pitiful crying anymore and we let him sleep with us in the bed. He still wakes us up to let him go potty in the middle of the night, so I don't really see a problem with it. We are careful not to roll over on him and squish him!

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk! Just wanted to stop and welcome you to Yorkie Talk. It sounds like you are getting some good advise. I did let Calleigh sleep in my bed after a little while. You do have to be very careful not to roll on your pup. She slept all night the first night I brought her home. I put her in her crate with a small alarm clock and a soft stuffed animal. She has been a great sleeper from day one, so I guess I am pretty lucky.

Thank you all for the good advise. Well it's been 10 days and life is getting better everyday. Lucy is still sleeping in her playpen and doesnt cry to much anymore. The trick is wear her out before its time for bed. I would post pictures but i really dont know how.
