| How do you know? My Yorkie is in heat. I am a new owner. When does her little backside go down? It has been swollen now for about 2 weeks. She isn't bleeding anymore. Thanks!\ |

I would give her another 1 or 2. The heat cycle is normally 3 weeks. 1 going in. 1 in and 1 going out. I would think no more than another week.

| Saturdays are pretty slow so you might have to wait untill this evening to get a breeder or someone knowlegeable about this to respond. My female was spayed so she hasnt had any heats. I would keep bumping this up so someone sees it though.

| Yea, you are going to have one more week. If this was her first heat, it would be light. But they are in heat for three weeks, about every six months.

That's what we are all here for. Questions that need answers. I just love this site. Chachi is right Saturdays are slow. I just got back from taking my daughter to get her nails done. Hope you have a great day!

| I also have another question....since Pippin has been in heat, she hasn't been quite as playful... she is healthy but I have noticed the change. She wants to play but we do it more quietly. I am kind of glad since I don't want a really rambunctious puppy but I want to know iif t is normal. |
