| Welcome to YorkieTalk!! Can't wait to see photos of your little boy Barney!! It is hard to completely predict size but in general you are supposed to triple the 8 week weight or double the 12 week weight to get an idea of adult size. Barney will probably be between 7 -8 pounds full grown. Yorkies coats start to change around 10 -12 weeks, you usually see some lighter roots growing on the head first but will take months up to a year for the body to change completely. Yorkies coat color can change there whole life. When I give my 15 year old a trim sometimes her coat comes back darker is some areas, its weird!! Good Luck with your boy!!

| I am confused on weight too. Remy was 1.2 lbs at 9 wks. she was 3.5 lbs up to about 2 weeks ago (she is now 14 months) so I thought that would be her final weight, then she gained 1/2 lbs. I was happy....but now she has gained another 1/2 lb. She is up to 4.5 lbs -- having gained 1 lb in about 2weeks. She looks great, and I am happy with the size... but geezzee will it stop now??? So-- the point? Like many have said.. what will be will be, weight is only and estimate!!
