| Don' hate me cuz I'm bootiful? This is Zoe at 5 months. We love and adore her, just the way she is, and think she's just about the cutest thing we've every seen! She is 2 1/2 lbs. She had a rough start, until about 6 weeks ago, inlcuding losing most of her hair due to ringworm. Her hair now is new growth (all of the wispy stuff has been replaced). She's very soft and smooth. I trimmed hair over her eyes and top of head, as it was like a cartoon , with just a few little "feathers" sticking up. My college-aged daughter "rescued" her, (then brought her home to us--gotta love her), so we don't know about the parents, etc. I tend to suspect a puppy mill, since she came from Oklahoma and has had so many ailments. My questions, for those who are willing, are: 1. Has anyone every seen a yorkie look like this at 5 months? 2. Any thoughts on her hair, coloring, size? 3. I have seen a few "Red Leg" posts...is she a Red Leg? 4. Will she grow? A few "yorkie people" have said she really prob won't, and I just worry that she is soooo tiny Thank you for your help with these "new mommy" concerns. Ya'll are FANTASTIC!

| My Apple weighed 3 1/2 lbs. @ 5 months, and now weighs 5 1/2 lbs. and is almost 2 1/2...Apple had her growth spurt from about lbs. @ 11 months to 5 1/2, after a year old...Also, she's not overweight...I thought my Buzz was going to be a red leg, but then his hair grew out, but your little girl has much stronger red legs, than Buzz...Very pretty color...I'm anxious to see what others say about the red leg coloring...congrats on the new addition, and way-to-go daughter for rescuing her... |

| Ahh, I think she is just precious. Not sure what you mean by ever seen a yorkie "like this" at 5 months, but she looks perfect to me. Once her hair grows out, which it will, she will look perfectly healthy. I'm sure she will continue to grow, but will probably be on the small side. She is only 5 months old - my Nicco didn't stop growing until about 2 years old. I can't answer the question about red legged yorkies, but somebody will. Good luck with her! She is a doll.

| I think she will continue to gain weight as she gets older. She's cute as can be and once she starts growning hair should be one happy pup! |

| You and your daughter are just awesome for helping out this little girl....she is just beautiful!! My yorkie grew until she was about 6-8 months old and put on some weight during that time also. I am sure that someone here will know more about her growth than I do and will respond to you. I have never seen a "red leg" yorkie but again, I am sure you will get an answer....everyone here is very helpful and knowledgeable. Congratulations to you all.

| Since she is only 5 months old and especially because she seems to have had a bad start in life she will likely grow a little more- however, she has a very petite body structure so I doubt she is going to get up to 5 pounds even, but that is just a guess obviously. She does have very red legs, obviously yorkies color changes a lot when they are young but it is a very gorgeous color if it stays that way. It will be interesting to see when her hair grows in more. She is very cute- I am glad she found her way into your house- you seem to be doing a great job with her.

| That's wonderful you rescued her, she is cute and will grow into her frame. i agree that she probably won't be a "bigger" size yorkie. She looks like my piper at that age, she's over 2 now and is lucky if she reaches 5 pounds. Lots of luck, she's a cutie! |

My Tulip was very small like that...was 2 1/2 lbs..for a LONG time...till she was a year...and finally put on another pound.. It was mostly the very red color of her legs, her super-diminuitive little bones and her short-haired look that looked so unique to me. I enjoyed reading about tiny ones that DID grow. I'll keep stuffin' her with food and love and we'll see what happens. We love her no matter how she turns out...just so CURIOUS about what she'll be like when she's "all grown up"! Thanks again!
