Lucky's trip to the pet stores! Today I decided to venture out w/ Lucky & my 5 month old daughter by myself to the pet stores! Big mistake! I've never taken Lucky to a pet store before (except when I first got him & I'm sure he doesn't remember that!). Anyways...I go to Petco first....and as soon as I pull in the parking spot, Lucky starts throwing up in his carrier! So, I had to clean that up before we even go in. And then I'm having a hard time w/ the stroller (the wheels wouldn't lock), so it won't steer right! And Lucky is shaking like crazy, and has his tail between his legs! So, I pick him up & I'm trying to carry him & steer the stupid stroller that only wants to veer right! AGGGG!! So, I walk around for a bit & then decide to leave. So, I figure I'll try Petsmart too (only 1 mile away). We get into petsmart, and Lucky is doing better but then finds 2 big dogs he wants to play with! So, I pick him up & continue to look around. Then I go to check out & I put him in the basket so I can get my credit card out. (I have his leash on him & have ahold of it) And the 2 big dogs are right behind me in line! So, Lucky decides to JUMP out of the basket!!!! I yank up on his leash when I see this & break his fall! I about had a heart attack!!!! But he acted like nothing happened & went to try & play w/ the dogs! Anyways...sorry to ramble, just had to tell ya'll my little experience!

puppy Glad everything is okay. My pug Bailey loves looking at the other dogs. He is small so he sits in the big part of the cart. Last week I had put my yorkie Brandy in the front with my son because he wanted to hold her while she was sleeping. I'm not sure if you read my post about it, but she fell through a hole in the side of the cart and pushed herself to where her head was completely stuck. She finally stopped fighting me so I could pull her out, the whole thing only took like 30 seconds but it terrified both of us. I recommend people never to put them in the front of the carts. Glad your's is okay! It sounds like she might need some socialzation and some puppy meetup groups. Best of luck.

Gosh you are brave taken both of them to the store but could I give you one suggestion and maybe you are doing this but you said you pulled up his leash so I am assuming (yes, I know it makes an ..... out of me) but hopefully you have the leash attached to a harness and not a collar. Harness's on the little ones do two things, 1. it doesn't put pressure on their trachea's and damage them and 2. much easier to pick up in an emergency and not do any damage. Just trying to be helpful Sorry if I was wrong and you do have your little one in a harness. Cindy & The Gang

Yep, it was attached to a harness! It's actually one of those vest/harness's. Thanks though!
