| Excessive tearing Does anyone have any suggestions to help stop tearing in puppies? Causes and treatments? I noticed that Leilani's hair under her eyes was very wet. I assume it was from tears. Does anyone else have this problem? I am planning on taking her to the vet the wednesday after we get her and I will ask him about it, but was wondering if any of you have this problem, and how you handle it?

| I read on here somewhere that it was the hair causing the eyes to tear, so I let Dublins grow out - at 9 months he hasn't had his face trimmed yet. While you can't see his eyes right now, he hardly tears anymore...

| Dublin is so cute, and he has a very cute name! I love it! Thanks for the advice. I cut Copper's hair when his eyes couldn't be seen. I am not sure if that was a good thing, but he is so cute with his little eyes showing. He has some tearing, but not as much as Leilani. Maybe when I get her home I can swab them every day. I will ask my vet, too. Maybe he can give me some advice. Can't wait to get her home!
