| Met a lady who says she has teapots I was in the petstore getting some more doggie tooth brushes and met a lady with a big yorkie. She said it jokingly of course,(the term teapot) but I had not heard of a yorkie being over 7 lbs. Her female was 8 lbs and had 6 babies. One is I think- 3 weeks old and she said it was 2 lbs already. I think it's a cute term and the sister (9lbs) to the new mom was adorable. (She was in the cart going shopping for treats) They seem a lot sturdier for children I gave her my number to set up a playdate sometime am a bit worried that the size might hurt my smaller ones. Just have to keep a close eye on them of course! |

| Teapot and Teacup are used in different ways up here. LOL What she was telling you was that her yorkie was a little bit bigger than the standard. Make a playdate and enjoy...with a watchful eye at first for your little one(s). |

| wow..ok I see lol They actually sound small now compared to when I did a search on yorkie talk and read about 15-20 lbs ones. LOL... I think that's awesome and when we schedule a date I'll tell her about that thread for the teapots. Thank you |

When I was looking to add my second Yorkie and was considering a 4 pounder, I was told by several very experienced breeder/exhibitors here that their tinies have no problem running with the big Yorkies. In the end, I chose a boy close to Max's size for other reasons.

| I have a bigger yorkie and my mom just recently rescued a bigger yorkie about the same size as mine. When I first learned the word teapot on here I told her about it and now she tells pretty much EVERYONE when we are out that Callie and Sammy are teapots lol.

| I love the word teapot! LOL. So cute. I first read that on here. Jackson is my 16lb boy. His BEST doggy friend is 6lb Yorkie, Nala, and they play great together. They wrestle, and run, just like the big dogs. No problems.

| I love teapots too. Chase is 15lbs and Calvin is 6lbs. They play together great, although sometimes Calvin is too rough. He's gotten much better though! I was worried when we brought Calvin home, he was just under 3lbs, and Chase was 5 times his size! Chase knew to be careful though, and let his little brother be the boss |
