| Yorkie Temperments My first yorkie is very hyperactive and full of energy. Our second, most recent one is a puppy . She is mellow. Just wondering if their can be such a difference in temperments of a yorkie. Since my first one, I thought all yorkie's behaved that way. however, now , I am not so sure? The puppy is about 5 months , and we only have had her 11 days. Perhaps she is still adjusting? Also, she is a rescue . I have no idea what kind of life she had before us. SHe eats well , and loves attention all the time. Just so much different then Suzi.

For one, NO dog is the same. Even out of a littler from a hyper mother and father could come a mellow, loving, just want to be held kind of puppy(so I know for a fact). Just keep loving her. Let her know that she IS family. She just might break out in dance one day...lol. |

| My Bella, can be quite a maniac at times too, but for the most part she is pretty laid back and quiet. Hardly ever barks and really doesn't ever get into trouble at all. She has been a dream puppy. Although she does love to attack my slippers and socks, while I am wearing them. I wouldn't have thought it so tough to walk around with 4 pounds attached to your foot, but it really is quite challenging.

| Terrible Terriers! No expert, but I would guess they are all different, just like us. Great that you Rescued her. Says a lot about you, all good. |

| Marcie is the same as her sister. So, I guess I really can't say. But it is wonderful that she is a rescue. |

| All dog breeds differentiate alot, so yeah not every dog of the same breed is going to be alike. What fun would that be? Dogs are individuals first and foremost, and while choosing a breed, you may be able to narrow it down a little more... breed alone does not define how a dog will act personality-wise. I dogsit for 2 Golden Retrievers, brothers from the same litter, and they are like night/day.

| I've had 5 yorkies growing up and every one of them has had a different tempermant. Bailey is by far the most spunky and hyperactive. I thought the same way you did when I first got Bailey because he was so different from all the others...

| They can vary in temperment even within the same litter. That's one of the reasons why I like to place them older, I can better match a pup to what someone is looking for for their lifestyle. |

| I think dogs of the same breed can have different temperments and personalities. Just like people. My two skin sons are light night and day personality wise. So I guess it would be the same with fur babies too. |

| my brother has told me that he had never seen such a hyper yorkie then my Suzi. I did not understand what he ment. Now that we have our Emma with us , and asked you guys here on YT I see that indeed they can vary in personalities. When we brought home our Shih tzu pup she was also calm and laid back. But, I figured it was because she was a Shi Tzu, LOL . I have not been around other Yorkie's to know the difference's . Suzi was the only one , so I automatically assumed that was the way ALL yorkie's acted.

| Yes, they can definitely have very different temperaments and personalities. Rio and Bullet are not litter mates but come from the same lines - in human terms, Bullet is Rio's nephew. But they are so opposite in so many ways it still amazes me. Rio is a little diva, only gives affection when she wants on her own time. She doesn't like to snuggle when she sleeps - she needs her space. She's very mellow, is happy in her purse carrier when we go to the mall. Hates car rides (pants and shakes the entire ride). Occasionally plays with her toys but can take em or leave em. Bullet is a total cuddle bug - prefers to sleep right against me. He is always ready to sit on my lap for a belly rub, loves car rides (usually falls asleep he's so relaxed). He hates going to the mall - feels like he needs to be on alert and protect us, so he doesn't do well inside a purse carrier. He absolutely loves every single toy in our house and will play with all of them until it looks like a tornado sprayed toys all over our house. So yes, it's perfectly normal to have different personalities. They both possess the Yorkie braveness and tenacity, and have big hearts in their little bodies. But they're their own individuals and I love them equally!

On January 21, only 4 days after finding the pup, you had a doctor write a prescription on keeping her as a service dog. (see post #41) You also indicated that you are not allowed to have more than 2 dogs where you live, and you already have 2 service dogs. Somewhere, someone's heart is breaking because they have lost their pup. You wrote that your dogs would never get out and go missing and that anyone who allowed this pup to get out must not be a worthy owner. Many of us posted to you that even the most responsible, caring owners have experienced the nightmare of a dog getting out. I always said it would never happen to me, yet it did. Luckily, my pup never made it out of my sight, but if I had returned home a few minutes later than what I did that day, it would have been a different story. If someone found my dog, I pray that person would work hard to reunite him with his family and not keep him.
