Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am sorry about your baby. Maybe posting this in the sick and injured will get more responses. I know there are some on here who have yorkies with seizures.

| I'm so sorry that your Yorkie has seizures. My Sammy is 12 years old and had his first seizure at 1 year old. The vet started him on phenobarbital and it only helped a little. So then the vet put him on KBR (potassium bromide) along with the pheno. He takes 1/2 tablet pheno in the AM and 1/2 tablet in PM. I put the KBR capsule in his food at dinner time. Thank goodness he has not had a seizure in 9 years!!!!!! If you are not going to be home, please keep your dog in a confined area, like kitchen, x-pen, etc. My vet said they could fall off a couch or bed during a seizure. As the vet said - they can't fall off the floor. If you ever want to talk about this, please feel free to PM me. They live a good happy life even though they have seizures. I know it is such a heartbreaking thing to see when they have one. Wishing you and your pup all the best!!!! |

| Has your baby had an MRI & Spinal Tap ?If not I would suggest finding a Neurologist & having those things done as there are Many different causes of seizures in dogs and some can be fatal without the proper treatments. Also would it be possible to have one of your threads closed as you have 2 that are the same & it could get confusing for you & others who are supporting you. |
