| Some people say that two girls will fight. I have four girls (no boys) and we've never had any issues. It will take a little while for them to get used to each other. They will eventually come to love each other even if they don't hit it off right away. I think your best bet is to choose a dog that has a similar profile to your current dog. IE, if Molly is rather laid back, don't go get a jack russel |

| Is she spayed yet? If not, wait or get a girl. You don't want her to "accidentally" get preggers.. =)

| We tried adding a girl when Sophie was about 1 year old. We added Hazel who was slightly younger and although in the beginning they played well together it eventually turned bad. Hazel became very aggressive with Sophie with everything from toys to being on the couch. We started to really be concerned with Sophie's safty. It was hard but after some time we realized it wasn't going to work and made a gift of Hazel to my niece. Both seem happier being in a one dog household. There may be another yorkie puppie who would work out great and be friendly to Sophie but we don't want to take the chance of it not working again and are happy the way things are now.

| I have a full house 3 girls and 2 boys. 2 Bassets Chloe and Cleo 18 months old, A shorkie Zoe who is 13 months old A yorkie Zach who is 9 months old and baby Oliver a Shih tzu who is 9 1/2 weeks old. Everybody gets along but it takes a little time. I never had a real problem with anybody. I brought the new ones home introduced them and let them work out their differences which they did. Now they won't go anywhere without each other. I just don't let Oliver out with the Bassets because right now they are too massive for him. |

| I would go for a boy. I hear if the girl is the first one, she'll always want to be top dog and another girl might have a dominate personality(you never know) Most all boys are laid back and go with the flow...they just want to be loved and the Mama's Boy. If I were to get another one...I'd get another boy. Good luck finding another furbaby Show us what you decide on.

| I've been today to choose a friend for Molly , I took her with me and let her have a look at the baby, I wanted to see how she reacted and i was really surprised she just had a sniff and wasn't bothered or upset in the slightest. We are having another little girl she is 12 days old today so it will be a few weeks till we can bring her home. I''d like to say a BIG thank you to everyone for their advice. |

| Aww yay! A little girl, Congrats! I have two boys so I don't have any advice. They have never ever had any problems. They got along in the first week. Good luck to you and your girls.
