| Please Help Me Find Daisy in Birmingham, AL! Hi all: I need help: my mother has been very sick and had a family situation over the holidays that caused her "wonderful" husband to get the bright idea to give her beautiful Yorkie, Daisy (btw 7-9, I think) away to a shelter/group in Birmingham/Homewood, AL while she was recovering and I am absolutely sick about it! They are in the process of separating so I don't think he is going to be forthcoming with this information and the only thing I know (from her) is that he gave her two an (suppposedly no-kill) organization run by two women in Birmingham/Homewood, AL that take animals into their/adoptive homes. her picture is below and if you have any ideas or know of this dog, please contact me at (404) 271-1009 or by email at spcham@gmail.com. Thanks, Scott |

| I would call every single shelter in the area, or better yet show up at all of them and look. I really hope you get her back, good luck.

Pet Search Results: Adoptable Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie Dog Pets in Vinemont, AL: Petfinder That is very sad that he would do something like that to your mother. What a heartless man he must be. I hope you are able to find Daisy for your mom. How could he not know where she is and who he gave her to.

| I am doubting he gave the dog to a rescue if he can't give anymore information than he has, but he could just be that heartless...I would check the shelters, because they will ask fewer questions when surrendered.. while speaking with them, they can give you phone numbers, etc to the yorkie rescues in the area...He could have sold her to someone..I would check with the local newspaper and ask them to do a feature story to help your mom get her baby back..what a cruel man...I hope she is rid of him..... |

| I would contact the police and have them interogate him. It they are in process of separating, then this can be considered theft, I would think since she was taken and given away without your mom's permission. Maybe the police can get somewhere with him, where you can't. I pray your mom gets her dog back. Personally I'd probably go to jail for assault if he did this to me and my dog. Elaine |

| You can find shelters on Petfinder.com. I would also look in the phone book for the closest shelters, both kill and no-kill shelters as bet the jerk wouldn't go far to take the dog someplace. It's really sickening that he would do such a thing. Good luck finding Daisy.

| Scott, you need to get on this and start contacting the shelters ASAP. Once she has been adopted out, it may be too late to do anything.

| Scott, I am sending you an email. I can email some people and see if we can help locate Daisy. I just need more information...I will explain in the email. In the meantime, you should do what everyone suggested....call every single shelter in that area...and google dog rescues in that area and contact them as well. The other suggestion someone made about the police is an excellent one. Perhaps if they questioned him, he might be honest with them about where he took Daisy.

| Folks: I am happy to say that through the help of many I found the group that had Daisy and all is well: just trying to work out the logistics. Its amazing how many people wrote or emailed from here in just a few hours and its good to know that so many people care about something so tiny as this sweet little dog. God bless you all, thanks for caring and thank you all so much for your help! Scott |

I have not been able to get online much lately and have missed Yorkietalk. Today it just seems like I am reading one good deed after another. People taking in found pups, people looking for and finding lost pups and owners just flat out IN LOVE with their yorkies. It is giving me a lot of smiles and a renewed sense of peace about the goodness in this world. Thank God.
