| FOUND A DOG... advice??? So Matt just walked in shouting "come now it's urgent...I found a dog," well I've got him in my bathroom, he's like a slightly over weight large maltese, maybe a mix, I'm bad with white fluffy breeds. He appears to be rather well mannered, he wasn't too happy with Harley, because of his energy level. He tried to bite Harley after the 20th time Harley zoomed around him, I've got them separated for now. I've called and reported him missing, I'm hoping I can find his family we posted posters, and I called Bark & Fitz if I don't find him his home by Monday, I'm going to bring him into the store to see if he happens to be a client. So now I wait. any tips? I"m going to give him a bath tonight, he's a bit muddy I hope he wasn't abandoned, he had a jacket and a collar but the tags were missing. I can't tell if he has a chip or not.

| We found a beautiful Husky once and I called the vet's office and left a description and our phone number, etc. The next day we got a call from the owners (thru the vets office) and owner and doggie were reunited. They were very appreciative that we took him in and fed him etc. Maybe you could give the dog's information to the vet and someone will call. My vets office has a lost and found board in the waiting room. |

| Well Bless you for taking this poor dog in. I also hope he wasn't abandoned. It's really strange he had a jacket and a collar with no tags. Hopefully you'll be able to find his owners Good Luck |

I saw a post on facebook that someone saw a small white dog running around on the other side of town last night, but they couldn't catch him, it took 5 cars stopping and Matt and another guy to get him, but Matt brought him in. I don't mind taking care of him, but if he doesn't get along well with Harley I really hope we find his home soon, I definitely can't afford to keep him if we don't find his home. I've also contacted radio stations to see if they have lost and found too... I'm just hoping he wasn't abandoned.

| Makes sure you check Craigs list under pets and lost and found, his owners may have posted an ad on there, also keep checking with your local police department. My daughter found a yorkie and after a couple of hours the owners called the police station and I was able to return him.

| Max has just been returned. They saw my posters and described his collar and jacket to a tee when the called. Soooo relieved that he's gone back to his home.

My friend, Sandra, from Canada, placed one of her Maltese with a lady in Ypsilanti, Michigan, 5 weeks and two days ago. 58 hours later, her stupid 27 year old son, let the little one out, because she was barking and howling, even after instructions that she was not allowed outside. She's been lost 5 weeks tonight. She was spotted 3 times, the next day, and no one helped her. A Baptist Minister, saw her, curled up in the snow, on the handi-cap ramp of his church, and did nothing. She is a tiny 4.5# Maltese. I wish someone like you had found her. Sheila

The owner was very happy that I had him, heck if I hadn't heard anything in a few more hours I was gonna give him a bath and everything too. I just know that a shelter is not the place I wanted him to go. They were going to come get him at animal control, but I told them that the dog wasn't going anywhere but home.

| Yay! I love a happy ending! I found a Cairn Terrier running down a busy street a couple of weeks ago. I called him and he ran right up to me and let me put him in my car. My poor niece, I had to put him on top of her and man was he ever stinky! He had an ID tag with two numbers, but they were both disconnected. He also had a rabies tag, and I called the issuing Vet's office and they gave me a cell number. I called that number and a woman answered who was driving home from work, poor lady had no idea her dog was even missing. They had recently moved into a new home, and her husband had let the dog escape from the back yard when he was working on landscaping. They came and picked him up, and meanwhile my two really enjoyed playing with another terrier. He was so easy to get into the car, anyone could have stolen him and kept or sold him. Just another example of why it is good not only to keep ID tags on your dogs, but ID that contain current contact info. It is so much more difficult to reunite a lost dog with it's owners if it doesn't have any ID or inaccurate ID.

I'm so glad you rescued him, and found his owners. Even if the Baptist Pastor would have called Animal Control, Rikki would have been found, because they called every Rescue, Shelter, Vet, everyone, immediately. They have an amber alert out, 5,000 flyer's a week, 3 different dog finder services.

| You can post and read in Craigslist, there always seems to be missing/found pets there. |
