| Does anyone elses baby do this?? When Ciera is playing really hard and running around the house fast she starts like coughing like she has something in her throat and then she starts panting really hard. She was playing with my husband last night and started doing this. She laid down and was panting and he said her little heart was beating very fast. I was just wondering if anyone elses baby does this and if it is something I should be concerned about?

| My little guy does that. When he is outside running up & down the fence line chasing the dogs on the other side, he pants alot! And then he'll start coughing a little. I think its just cause they get all excited & then lose their breath! I don't think its much to worry about unless they are coughing all the time and not just when they've been running around. |

| Sometime after Samson drinks water and then starts playing/running or when I'm giving him kisses and he gets all excited he will make like this hacking/choking kind of sound. Kinda sounds like he has something stuck in his throat. It goes away but it really scares me when he does it. |

| YEAH- that is what we call the "Crazy-yorkie-run" in my house. Lilly loves sprinting around in circles so fast it makes my head spin. I think they know that they have energy to release, so they exercise. I love it b/c then she is tired later when it is bedtime and sleeps like a little angel. |

| Ginger does it and it’s hilarious. You see a little black ball zoom past you and all you hear is “hhe hhe hhe hhe.” I wouldn’t be worried.

| Thanks for all your replies. I am so glad that she is not the only one that does this. I really thought that maybe I was letting her run too hard or something. I told my hubby last night to leave her alone before he caused her to have a heart attack!! ....LOL

| cough Jasmine does it. Sometimes it's when she has been play fighting around with her adopted "brother", our westie. She also does it sometimes at night. She hacks like she has something in her throat and it still worries me but I took her to the vet and he gave her an antibiotic just to be on the safe side, but she still does it so I guess it's nothing to worry about. I just can't help but worry about the little stinker. She has stolen my heart. I didn't know you could get this attached to 2 1/2 pounds of fur. |

| cough The vet didn't really say. She thought she was healthy. We had just brought her home and she said sometimes they have kennel cough or the change of weather can sometimes cause them to cough. Of course, Jasmine didn't cough while I was at the vets. She said she was going to give her an anibiotic just to be on the safe side. She did seem to get better and doesn't have it very often now. Just when they are wrestling around or sometimes at night, but not as bad. If it gets worse, I will take her back to the vet. |
