Thor's Human Donating Member | Writhing Anyone else have yorkies who love to writhe? This is one of Thor's favorite activities. He army crawls all around a room, then flips on his back and writhes around like he's having a seizure in slow motion. He looks completely crazy, but completely adorable at the same time. He's also a big fan of doing this outside when he finds something smelly. He has not drawn the connection between writhing in poop and getting a bath within the next hour.

| YES!! Levi squirms and rolls and writhes. My apartment (unfortunately) is carpeted, and Levi loves to writhe on his back on the carpet. We spent a week with my parents over the holidays, and I think Levi went into carpet withdrawals. They have all hardwoods. When we got back to my apartment, he put in overtime with the writhing. Like Thor, Levi also loves to writhe around in the yuckiness outside. Mud, poop, you name it...he rolls around in it having the time of his life.

| Rocco does this too, especially when he comes in from the rain or snow and is a little wet. I think he's a bit dramatic and overdone, but he sure does look cute doing it

Donating YT 500 Club Member | The army crawl...lol...that's Razz, and the flip to the back I wasn't joking about Ruby's favorite scent being earthworm, her all time favorite place to roll and rub is on a dead worm. She also loves to writhe around on the bed pillows, pushing up under them as she wriggles. Reno will writhe around too, but more as part of playing with him, than just on his own.

| Holly does this too!!! I thought it was because she is scratching herself due to her severe allergies, but now I'm not so sure. She is always rubbing her face against things because it iches, so I always thought she withers to scratch her body!

Thor's Human Donating Member | I believe dogs do it to scratch their backs, as they have difficulty reaching their backs. I think it's also a nice stress reliever, since many dogs enjoy writhing after a bath. Thor loves to do it generally, and he also seems to consider it a good strategy for guarding his toys. He's always trying to roll over them on his back. Given that most of his toys are about half his size, it is very ineffective.

| My girls love to do that whenever they find a rug to roll around on, now that my house is all tile and hardwood. I put a big fluffy rug in front of the Christmas tree, and they really had fun with that.

| Rio is our resident wiggle worm and loves to roll around on our Berber carpet all the time. We used to put bows in her hair all the time but she would snag them on the carpet, so now she usually just has a bow-less top knot to allow free writhing! Bullet, not so much.

| Zach loves to writhe when he's wet and of course he loves to do it on my bed. He goes on for quite awhile and then when he's tired he flops over and goes to sleep. |

| Louis does this too. He lays on his back and squirms around on his back and also does his head. When he flops back over his hair is a complete mess. It is so funny. I need to get a pic of how he looks when he's done squirming around on the carpet.

| Mine likes to writhe around on the bed. Usually the bed is unmade. She pushes her nose into the covers and rolls all around and flips on her back and wiggles like she's scratching her back. It's like I set her on the bed and she starts moving in fast-motion. Pretty soon she's under the covers. Just hilarious to watch her little eyes light up as she gets so excited.

| Max loves to do this on the carpet upstairs. He's also been known for doing it in the grass. Lily does the slow head tilt then onto her back she goes. Last week she got a dead dried up lizard stuck in her hair...yuk!

| That's part of Kaji's morning routine, and his "Welcome home!" routine. He smiles the entire time too. It's super cute!

| My Razael LOVES my husbands clothes to rub her entire body on. When they get their faces washed, they act like they just had a bath and will rub their faces, one side then the other all the while running on just their back legs with the butts up in the air. It's so cute!
