| Don't put a yorkie in the front of the cart! Horrible scare! Today I took my pug bailey, my yorkie Brandy, and my son Dominick to Petsmart. I had my son in the front of the cart and I couldn't put Brandy in the back of the cart with Bailey because he would trample her (he gets really excited.) I held her for most of the store and had her in my bag, then my son wanted to hold her. I only let him hold her if he's sitting down, which of course he was. She was falling asleep in my arms so I figured she would sleep. I put her in his lap and went down the aisle. Then my son said "Brandy fell." I looked down and said, "No she didn't." Then looked closer to see that she was backing her butt into a hole to the right of the cart. I scooped my hand under her to try to stop her and push her back up through. She fought me and moved her head up catching it between the rods in the cart and started screaming. I yelled for help thank god the banfield desk was right there and the cashier's desk. The lady started to take my son out of the cart and finally Brandy calmed down enough for me to lift her up and out of there. I felt so bad. It was so scarey and I held her for a long time after that and just kept kissing her. She is 2 1/2 lbs and I CAN'T WAIT for her to get bigger! 5 lbs will be SMALL enough for me! It can be hard sometimes, it's like a little baby, with energizer batteries that can run around everywhere and get themselves into so much trouble because they don't know any better. So I want to warn you all not to put your yorkie in the front of a cart. There are holes she can fall through. If you want to, bring a baby blanket to cover the holes and still watch so carefully. This was a happy ending and she is fine. My husband doesn't allow for the dogs to sleep in the bed, but Brandy will tonight! |

| I'm so glad she's okay!! I know, I remember when mine were really small like that. My boy is still 3.5 lbs and pretty delicate. At least my girl is now 5 lbs. How old is your girl now?

| cart It was sooo scarey. Brandy is now acting like it never happened. She did pee in my bed last night. I think I'll wait until she's potty trained to try again. |

| cart I didn't think it could happen either, it is hard to remember how small she is without all of the fur and what she can really fit into. Some carts have a protective plastic cover that fits over it. From now on I will put a baby blanket down. |
