| Chicken and puppies? My 6 week old puppies have eaten nothing I have fixed for them...mush w/ karo/water. karo...no go. Pedigree Little Champions Puppy...no go...and other stuff as well. This morning I opened a can of white chicken meat and mixed it with the Pedigree and they went BEZERK!!!! Ate it all. Is this OK? Their Momma is still nursing them as well, but only in a standing position and only for a few seconds. TEETH!!!!!!! Any advice? |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | They aren't eating the other simply because momma is still nursing them. The chicken isn't going to hurt them but feeding puppy gruel or kibble would be better. Once she stops feeding them...they will eat.

| I went thru the same thing with my puppies...the mom didn't want to nurse them and they wouldn't eat anything. In desperation I ground up some meatloaf (no onions) and they ate it like they were starving. Quite frankly, I was just happy to see them eat at that point. It wasn't long before they started eating their kibble after that. Good luck!
