| Harley's vacation :) So we flew to Ottawa for Christmas, just about to fly home tomorrow. and boy was it fun... I'm cracking up right now laughing though because Harley has been a little angel the whole trip... but today the snow all melted away and a bunch of crows are in the back yard. He sees them from the window of the kitchen and just started barking... he's rediscovered his voice... lol the little bug has been so good all trip (he's a quiet yorkie) and this morning he's just been yapping away. lol. oh well. we've been testing out the city cause I may be coming up here for law school, plus that's where the bf is from. the flight over was good too, he was such a good boy... although he growled at me in the lobby while I ate my Tims donut.... he sat in his carrier and stared at me lol . Anyways... we've been away from the forum for the most part of the last two weeks so I just wanted to come back and say hi! Hope everyone is having a happy new year.

| What a good boy he has been! Sounds like you have had a really good time, too. You know, mine is quiet, also, but if she sees birds - off she goes! Hope you have a safe trip home.

| So glad Harley has been such a good little bug/boy. Calleigh was quiet and didn't bark at all at first. She did find her voice too...and she sure likes to use it when she thinks someone is at the door. That is a good thing though. I hope you have a safe trip home. Happy New Year to you too.

| Oh boy, once they discover their voice, they show it off a lot, so look out mom! We have more than our share of crows for sure, and don't know why. I have to shoo them off our front lawn all the time to keep the girls from barking so much, and when you have FOUR at the entry window barking, it's painful!

| So glad Harley did so well. I hope Bella does the same on Saturday. We are flying to Montreal, staying over and off to Key West on Sunday. How old is Harley. Did he not bark at all on the plane. I am so afraid Bella will whine or bark to get out of her bag. She is great in the car in it. We took her for a drive last night and put her in it and down on the floor by my feet. She whined a little at first, but once the car started and we were driving she was fine. Did you give Harley anything. I got some Rescue Remedy but am waiting back for answers from other members that have used it to see how their baby's reacted. I couldn't get the pet one only the regular, so I don't know how much to give her. Anyways I am soo Happy your flight was good . I hope mine is as well. |

The airlines recommend you do not give them anything if in the cabin, I asked before whether I should get something from the vet and they said no... also if it makes you feel better, Harley had an ear infection, and his ears did not bother him at all (I worried about that), the vet said he'd be fine. I think you should be fine, if you have a squeaker or barker then you may need to give them something to do so they don't get upset, but I just loaded the bottom of his bag with a fluffy blanket and 3 toys one of each texture (soft, chewy and hard), so he could be occupied. Also be prepared to strip your little one at security, on the way I had to take everything off of him, his micro chip didn't set anything off, but I still brought his papers just in case. Good luck!

| Harley continued to bark all day!!!! lol. I still can't believe it took him 2 weeks to figure out that there were birds outside the patio door. lol.... Looking forward to getting home. I'm tired of moving the portable play pen octagon.... I want my real set up back... that and the last three days, he's been dipping his food in his water/vice versa.... I think he wants to get home too.... He also made me play hide it find it, when i was trying to pack all his toys tonight. (silly puppy).
