| Lucy stopped peeing on paper! This is my first time on this site, but I really need help. Lucy is over 7 years old, and suddenly refusing to pee on her pads, which are in the hall. No matter where I move them, she insists on using the floor. She always used the pads. I even ordered Pish pads, but she won't use those either. Suggestions, please? I'm desperate! Myra |

| Has she always used piddle pads exclusively or has she used the outdoors as well? Have you taken her to the vet to have her checked for a uti or other kidney problems? Welcome to YT.

| Re Yorkie not using papers Lucy always used the pads, running into the hall when she needed to "go". Now she avoids the papers, even though I've placed some in areas other than the hall. She never went outside, is (was) completely paper trained. Will ask vet about kidney problem but she holds it in and has no evident medical problem. |

| Let me start by saying that I am not a vet; however, I believe the OP could be on to something as far as a UTI or kidney problems. If your little one just stopped using the pads for no apparent reason to you, it could be that she is having pain with urination and associating that with the pads. I would definitely take her to the vets and have her checked out. Unless you have had some other big changes in the house (moved somewhere new, new pet, new person living with you... someone move out...) things like that could possibly disrupt her also. Good luck!
