I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I always recommend that people talk to breeders who belong to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of American, it's the mother club of the Yorkie, and they set the standard for the AKC. Breeders pledge to uphold high standards, and stand behind the puppies. They have studied the breed for years, and know the breeds' weaknesses. Talking with a YTCA breeder will allow you to learn if the yorkie is really right for your family. They aren't just selling you a dog, but placing a loving family member in your home, and they want to ensure it's a good match. YTCA breeders are breeding for improvement of the breed, but they often have wonderful pets available. Please only buy from breeders where you can actually inspect the kennel/home conditions, and those that sell on limited registration. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club
