| food & cancer?? Someone recently told me if I feed my puppy the same food all the time my puppy will eventually get cancer? Is this true? Because I thought switching food can harm my puppy's tummy.. I don't know can someone please verify if this is true or false?

| That seems highly unlikely to me. I think the most important thing is the quality of food. Make sure the food is of high quality with natural ingredients. Foods like Go Natural or Orijen are just a couple that come to mind. They are more expensive but in the long run you aren't feeding as much. If you check on line I'm sure there is lots of information on different dog foods. Changing your puppy's food will most likely cause stomach upset. Any changes should be done very slowly. | No, it isn't true. I'm sorry someone told you that. Switching foods too quickly can upset your puppy's tummy, but if the change is made gradually there shouldn't be any problems. Of course, feeding a good quality food with healthy ingredients will help to keep your little one healthy and happy! You don't want to feed your puppy a food like Ol' Roy for instance. Congratulations on your new yorkie!

| I don't know of any people who eat one thing all the time, and unfortunately cancer has claimed way too many of them. Realistically, this cannot be true, unless the one food the dog was eating contained carcinogenic chemicals. I don't know why people say things like that. Glad you asked instead of believing or repeating it for another. That is how some of the strange things get spread. One uninformed person makes a bizarre statement, another takes it as fact and then writes in online and we all know if it is online it must be true -- NOT! But sometimes it is really difficult to disprove some of these crazy ideas once they catch hold online.
