| Independant yorkies!? Are any of your babies really independant!? Fiona gets on these kicks where she just wants to be alone, and doesn't want you to even touch her! She is funny! Anyone else have this issue!?

| Yes, My Molly who I just lost in October she was this way. We called her the Pillow Princess, as that is where she always wanted to be. Up on the bed on her pillow and by herself. She was a very loving girl, but just liked being by herself. Since she was a rescue and 3 when we got her, I have no idea what her life was like before we got her. We had her 7 1/2 yrs and she was always this way.

| Chloe is SUPER independant- she often goes off and lays on her own. Armani is my clingy little boy- so I get one of each! |

| Jackson is kind of both. During the day, if I'm on the couch, he'd prefer to be laying over in his dog bed on the other side of the room, and things like that. But if I leave the room... he wants to be right there with me. He has to be in seeing distance of me, lol. Also at nighttime, he will snuggle in so close to me, or on my legs, etc. But sometimes if I go over to give him loving, he will just get up and walk away, like I was irritating him, LOL!!

| Bella is very independent...also a rescue that we got when she was 3. She loves to be loved but it is on her terms! She will let you know when she wants your attention and affection and she will shun you when she doesn't! My husband always says to her "you're not the boss" because she is I love her sassy little independent side though!

| When Sammy was a baby he was more aloof. He would cuddle and be afffectionate only when he wanted to. As he got older he got more affectionate. Now he's a big Momma's boy and loves to be on my lap or having me carrry him. |

| Maggie is very independent. Sometimes she acts like she does need me at all. Last night she got out of bed and went to another room to sleep by herself. She will sleep on another couch by herself, Buster has to be in lap and as close to me as possible.

| Khloe is pretty independent... at least compared to my shadow, Couver. She usually wants to sit next to me, but does not want to be moved from where she sees fit. If I pick her up to cuddle with her, she will get up and walk away.

| Levi is semi-independent. He does like to know my whereabouts at all times, but he isn't very snuggly at all. He likes to sleep in my bed with me at night, for example, but he almost always sleeps by my feet. He watches me get ready in the morning, but he doesn't actually come in the bathroom...he lays by the door and just watches. He's quite protective, and he does tend to follow me around, but he likes to basically do his own thing and not be coddled. He's a pretty good balance between clingy and independent.

| Everything I've ever read about yorkies has indicated independence as one of their traits. The Yorkie is known for their: •Intelligence - Above average for canines •Courage •Independence •Energy - most are up for exercise or play time any time!
