| I have had Sophia for 6 years and just got Peyton last week. Sophia is scared too and doesn't want anything to do with Peyton. Just give it time...I really believe they will come around. Just make sure you give both lots of love and attention. Also, don't draw attention to it, let them come together on their own, don't force it. They will pick up on any anxiety you have about it. Good luck!

| It takes time. Mind you, your first pup was used to being the only one for a whole year. my suggestion is to take them to neutral grounds, like a park, and let them be. I have 4 dogs...lol... Leila, my lab, being the oldest. She naturally has accepted and cared for all the young ones. However, Guinea my chi/yorkie mix is quite stand-off-ish! When Lola, a shih- tzu, came into the picture, she wanted nothing to do with her. Same when we got Faith, my little yorkie baby :-). However, they eventually all bond. Just know that whatever you do to one you will have to do for the other...lol. Oh and you're first pup might try taking all the treats or eating the food first! |

| I agree. When I got my second yorkie the first ignored her for a couple days. So give it time.

| Sounds like the advice Bitsy is giving you is right on. Are both males? What is the age difference? If they are close in age and very young, chances are they will come around. You might try putting them in a fenced yard if you have one and quietly observe them for awhile and see how they do. Good Luck! I have 6 yorkies and the biggest problem is jealous femailes and I spoiled the 1st one and she is awful. I have to work at keeping the role of alpha or that issue can be a real problem. Merry Christmas.
