| Keep working on the walk. Our 10 month old does best when he gets at least one good walk(45 minutes) a day. Now with the bad weather, it's chasing toys down the hall way. |

| Welcome to YT. Most Yorkies have a lot of energy, some even more than others. What is your girl's name and what is her background? Is she spayed? The best place to start is to develop a schedule, a routine. Yorkies have excellent inner clocks. If you do basic things like feed, walk, play, and sleep at about the same times every day, the dog will anticipate these activities and fall into the routine. This has a calming effect. Walks, play sessions, obedience training, and trick training are all great ways to drain physical and mental energy from your dog. Does she accept having a harness and leash put on her? What kind of problems are you encountering with the leash? Maintain a calm, confident demeanor with her. Don't show frustration. She will mirror you. |

| Sounds like you have Harley's long lost sister... she could be bored. or she could be just plain hyper... Harley falls into that category, best advice is play hard, play hard, and well keep going cause she'll never be tired. keep her busy and give her something to do. Good luck

| I am chuckling as I read your posting. I have a 10 month old and can't believe the energy he has. I haven't had a puppy in a long, long time. My dogs for some reason have lived a long life which I am thrilled about. But our pup, keeps moving, and getting into trouble, like into my recycling bin, pulling bulbs off the Christmas tree, etc and my husband and I just laugh and say: he is only a puppy! We do walk him though, play with him and both of those things help a lot. My experience: puppyhood lasts at least until they are 2 years old. We are fortunate to be home with him all day.
