Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | BUMPING THIS THREAD UP. Please update when you have word. It was so cold and horrible rain storm last night, praying they were found and are safe. I do believe missing elderly people should be added to the alert system such as the amber alerts on the freeways, we hear far too often of an elderly being missing and sadly not found in time. Sure hope the man and his dog is safe. Hugs, Patti and Jack |

| Let me clarify. I do not know this person or any family members. He lives in my community and I just felt really bad and thought I would post. The more people this reaches the more likely he can be found. This did happen to my cousin and it is very scary. I am sorry for any confussion. I just pray that he is found safe. |

I see now. Here it says my friends Grandpa is missing so I thought it was your friend. Now I see it is the poster of the add who wrote it about about his/her friend. Have you heard it on the news ? If not , maybe you could call the news station for them to see if they could air it . | |

| ORANGE – An 88-year-old man who was reported missing Sunday was found Tuesday morning in his car in a parking lot in Orange, police said. Robert Vern Mefford was found about 7:15 a.m. with his Yorkshire Terrier Donny and his Chevy Impala, Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams said. Robert Mefford and Donny, his pet Yorkshire Terrier. COURTESY OF THE ORANGE POLICE DEPARTMENT "He had been disoriented and confused during the rain on Sunday night and could not find his way home," Adams said. Mefford, an Orange resident who suffers from mild dementia, was last seen when his daughter dropped him off at his home on East Heim Avenue after the two had breakfast together about 10 a.m. on Sunday, Adams said. By 4 p.m., Mefford, Donny and his 2000 blue Chevy Impala were gone. Family members and police searched the immediate area but were unable to locate him. Due to his medical condition, Mefford's family was concerned for his welfare, Adams said. |
