| What to do with tags on toys? What do you do with the white tag that comes with a dog toy? The clothe one where it says "made in China" that is sewed on. I've left them on, but I'm wondering if I should remove them. Kaji just got a new toy today, and he already almost chewed half way through the tag. He's never bothered them before. Should I cut them off?

| I've always cut them off as close to the toy as I could. My Muffin would go after them, too.

| I always cut the tags off and also the little black string that allows it to hang on the shelf if it has one- mine will ALWAYS chew them off first before they play with the toy |

| As a matter of fact Doodlebug was sitting next to me a few minutes ago chewing the heck of the tag on his toy. I couldn't stand it any more so I took it away and snipped the tag off. Now he is chewing the hang stringy thing. Guess that's gotta go next!

| mine tear the heck out of whatever they get so tags and hangy things are a must go. we cut them off too because that's the first thing the kids go for when trying to rip into a toy to get the squeeker and stuffing. at least this way it lasts ten minutes longer lol |

| My two don't seem to tear up toys, so I just leave the tags. I haven't ever noticed them messing with them, so I don't worry too much.

| Thanks for the replies everyone! I think the tags will have to go. Kaji has toys he's had from the beginning of the year that still have a tag on, but this brand new toy wasn't so lucky. He's been a lot more destructive these past few weeks.

| I also cut off thin, long tails, like those on the Hartz stuffed dogs, for fear that Max may try swallowing it. When I first joined YT, I read a thread about someone's poor pup who was injured choking on a toy's tail. |

| I always cut off all tags because Bullet will bite off and eat each one. I also have to cut off any felt pieces or strings because he'll chew it all off. He has quite the collection of supposedly indestructible toys that he has destroyed! Rio on the other hand has never put a hole or dent in any toys. She's very civilized. LOL! |

| I do the same thing. I cut all tags and black strings off every single toy. It just gives them a reason to WANT to tear the toy up. If they don't see them in the first place, then all they do is play with the toy.

| Mine doesn't tear up toys and isn't rough with them...but if there's a tag on there, OH MAN! She goes right for it. So the paper/plastic tag, the hanging string, and any attached tags get clipped off immediately.

| I cut off any tags or strings, anything that is not supposed to be part of the toy.
