| Playpen ok Hi! I was just wondering if anyone thinks it is silly for me to use a playpen for my furbaby? I've been taking him to work with me and sometimes he gets a little out of control (he gets excited with the customers coming in) so I bought a travel size playpen for when he needs a nap or needs a lil space. Everyone thinks I have just totally lost my mind what do you think? Also does anyone know of any dangers that I'm not aware of?

| I would think using a playpen would be fine they make them safe enough for children so I would think they are safe for a small dog. I used an xpen myself but that wouldnt be as easy to travel with.

| I use a playpen for my litters when they are young. They do start to chew after a certain age. However, you could spray bitter apple on the netting part to deter this. Does your playpen have a protective cover? If not, watch for when your pup starts to climb....after that it won't be a "safe place" any more. Also watch that your pup can't get under the flooring part. |

| I think a playpen is a GREAT idea. I was gonna get one for my Taylah, but things ended up of us having to give our other little girl a new home, so she took over the crate I had for her. I'm still thinking about getting one for my girls for Christmas. As sometimes i take them with me to families houses and all and I think its great to keep my *toddlers* contained every once in a while. haha

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali loves her playpen. She is nearly 5 months old and hasn't chewed it, shes chewed everything else!, or climbed out of it. She will go in it when she's tired and take a nap nd sleeps in it at night, well until 2am then she cries to come in my bed and spends the rest of the night with me. |

| It is fine to have a playpen. I have a little wire pen in my kitchen that Tucker stays in when the house gets busy(i have 4 human kids). It is about 3 feet by 5 feet and he is totally OK to stay in it for short periods. |

| I have one for Chloe. I used it a lot when she was a baby. They can get their little nails stuck in the mesh so you have to keep a good watch on them. She used it til she was about 4 months old. I think it's a great idea!!! Joy, Nikki and Chloe Rose |
