| Wish us luck! Mabel is going in tomorrow to be spayed and microchipped. She seems so little, but we had the blood tests done and she checked out just fine. I can't help but be worried - I'll let you know how she does when we get back to town - the vet lives 40 minutes away from us - just to add to the fun!! We're very lucky as the snow is gone and it's actually warmed up to 7 degrees celcius (44 degrees fahrenheit) above freezing. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Mabel is adorable. I'm so glad you had the blood work done. I know she will be fine but I will be sending positive thoughts your way tomorrow. What do you plan to do while waiting? |

| Thanks for your thoughts! I was hoping to go with my mom but I had to ask her to take my 9 year old daughter to school and pick her up. I have to leave tomorrow at 7:30 and I pick Mabel up at 3:00 if all goes as planned. I guess I'll do a lot of window shopping; my husband will love that - I always come home with a ton of ideas - new fridge, new furniture, etc. I wish, that'll have to wait a couple of years down the road. It's going to be a really long day!! |

| She is super cute. It sounds like you have done all the prep work. I am sure she will be fine. I just got mine microchipped and they are doing well. Just curious, what microchip coming does your vet use? There seems to be a lot of contriversy out there about which chip is best.

| Mabel is back home and still sleeping things off - she had the full treatment - spay, microchipped and tattooed. She weighs 3lbs, 5 oz. I wasn't sure about the tattoo, but I researched a bit more and I felt it was another way of tracking her if she ever gets loose - I haven't looked yet, but I think the vet put a heart next to her number. I'll see if I can get a picture in the next few days, depending on how Mabel is feeling. I'm supposed to keep her calm for 14 days, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!! I guess I'll have to glue her feet to our floor LOL!! Thanks for all of your great thoughts - it is really appreciated!!! |

| Impossible Instructions Why is it that the vets give us impossible to follow orders? When my husband got his Papillon spayed they told us to not let her jump, run or get wet for 14 days. This first 2 were pretty easy but then we needed a tranquilizer to keep her still. Unfortunately we did not have one. My DH had his hands super full for the next 12 days. They have to know that it close to impossible to keep a healthy sprite down. All of mine think they have wings!

| Thanks to everyone for your nice comments - Mabel is doing really well. She slept for most of the first day but tonight she has been getting more active. It's going to be a real challenge to stop her and Darwin from playing for the next 12 days though! |
