| After-bath Antics Does anybody else have a Yorkie that gets really "silly" after taking a bath? When you throw the towel over Emma to dry her off, she starts rolling around and snorting. Then, after you blow dry her a bit, she runs crazily around the house and starts attacking her stuffed animal friends!! It's cute, and hilarious!! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LOL...THAT is called the "Happy Dance" and we like to think it's cause they feel soooooo good all nice and clean - I have a feeling with most yorkies... it's cause they don't like being WET & they want to dry off as fast as they can.....they are hilarious after a bath aren't they ? My Chanel LOVES to be wet - she and Cheri both do the Happy Dance for different reasons |

| Kacee wants to run so much when I'm towel drying her, but she has to wait to go on her race through the house until after she's blown dry. They feel so very good after their baths, don't they? The best part is always how well they sleep later!

| That's so funny!! I had wondered if other Yorkies did this. But Emma seems not to mind being wet - in fact she stands very calmly in the bathtub and never tries to get out. She especially likes to take a bath with a human. Afterwards, though, she goes crazy - I think she is just so happy to be clean! |

| Zoe does the same thing....she can't wait for the towel to be off her and as soon as it is she runs to my daughters room and rolls in her blanket..(daughter gets kinda mad..lol) and then its off to the races....she tears up the house running...at first it would send the puppies under the furniture crying but now they try to keep up....I thought Zoe was the only dog with the after bath crazies...good to know she is normal!!! |

| Starsky kind of runs away when he knows I am getting the kitchen sink ready for a bath. He knows the routine, get a towel, get the shampoo ready and then get the water at the right temperature. Once I catch him he is really good at sitting still while I bathe him but look out when I'm done. I just barely dry him with the towel and set him down and he is running crazy all over the house. Up furniture, down furniture, into the sliding glass door blindes. Rolling all over the carpet. I finally give him a treat and hold it in my hand so I can brush him. That is a real game in its self. Forget about the blow dryer. He air dries while running! It's a fiasco at bath time!

| How funny, Lucy does this too. She Hates getting her bath, she will run and hide under the bed when she sees us getting all the stuff out. But when we are done and have her on the towel ready to dry her, she rubs her face all over it and snorts and rolls around. Then when the drying and brushing are done, she runs all over the apartment, jumping on the bed and rubbing her face and body all over everything.. I guess it is a Yorkie thing. although our other dog (a Papillon) gets excited too, she doesn't get THAT excited. |
