Donating YT 500 Club Member | Erect tail???? Does everyones Yorkies hold their tail up? Are they supposed to be up, is that something you teach them - and if so.....how??? Poor Bridget's tail is so short, she looks like she doesn't even own one. Greta, being a Biewer, has a long tail so I have nothing to compare it to.

| Don't feel bad, Zhoie's is just a nub too. She wiggles it when we have to use the stick to get her Kong mini ball out from under the bed or couch, LOL. Otherwise, it's just there.

| Sammy has a tiny tail that doesn't stand up. When he's excited about something he wiggles it but you really have to look to see it. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thanks - it seems like whenever I see a Yorkie drawing or painting - they have these beautiful long haired tails that are standing up. And Bridgets vet laughs all the time he says she uses it like a little flap when he needs to take her temp. I never even paid that much attention to the pictures on YT....I'm too busy looking at the cute little faces!

| My boy Tucker's tail will only stand up when he is excited But my little girl Roxy's tail is always erect & I love it I think that longer tails stay up more because Tucker's tail is shorter than Roxy's.

| My Yorkie's tails stay up.... and they are on the longer side. One is a retired show dog and his tail is always erect.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | To all of you with babies with erect tails.....did they just stand on their own...omg I know this sounds like a really stupid question - but I'm so curious why some do and some don't. Is it like ears....do you have to train them somehow?

| I could be wrong, but I have always thought it had a lot to do with their personalities. Muffin's personality was like she never stopped all day long and was always on the go and happy go lucky! Her tail was always erect. Kacee is very laid back. She is so calm until something interests her. When she's prancing around, like when we're on walks it is up and the hair is just swinging. (I like to watch her from behind when she walks. She twists her little hiney!)

| That is a really good question actually! I never thought of it, but Selphies stands sometimes, and sometimes it does not...most of the time it is like a little flap.

| Jesse has a nice size tail, but poor Bailey has only a little nub! I never cut the hair there, so when it's wagging at least I can see it I find both of their tails are up when they are playing and excited about something.

| Jackson has a full tail but he holds his up high alot... so it usually looks like the second pic posted below, but it often times kind of is just "there" as well, (like the first pic).
