| Short hair My Bentley is 6months old. Both his parents are long silk hair yorkies but Bentley's hair is not that long yet. Could there be a reason for this or is it just because he is still little? Thank you Christina |

| Bentley is still young...he won't be fully coated until 2 years or more. So, don't give it a second thought. As long as he is combed and brushed, mat-free, bathed when it's needed ( once a week or every two weeks depending on how dirty he gets) is all good for keeping his coat nice. My Bentley is 19 months and his hair is getting longer. Oh, and by the way...I love the name Bentley!! Lol!! Dyan |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | EarthAngel is correct, Joey didn't have long hair until he was two. Don't forget silk coats grow much slower than cotton coats, but silk coats are less likely to mat. Bentley still has his puppy coat.

YT Addict | I can't really help you since I don't own a Yorkie, but I have heard it does take until they are about 2 for them to have a full coat ( like EarthAngel and Nancy1999 said) I did want to say Welcome to YT though!

| Thank you everyone. Sounds like I'm jumping the gun on my baby's hair. I will stop worrying about it. |
