Donating YT 500 Club Member | How to Store Wet Food? So I want to try adding some wet food into Taycie's diet. How do you store this? Obviously refrigeration after opening, but I was thinking like a tablespoon or so along with her other food mixed in.. question how long does that big can of wet food last? I was thinking of using either Wellness Core or Before Grain..Should I throw it out 3-4 days later? That to seems wasteful. Or does it last ok in the fridge until its gone? |

| I put a spoon of instinct in Zhoie's food, she loves it. When I open a can, I divide it in 4 small, wee small containers and freeze it. The one i'm using out of, I keep for 4 days. After you do it for awhile, you will know how much you will use in like 3-4 days and you can store in containers accordingly. Hope, this helps.

| Agree on the freezer thing. I've taken half out of the can, put that in the freezer to store, and kept the other half in the fridge. Once that one is gone, we take out the one from the freezer and put it in the fridge. I keep the can in the fridge for 5-7 days though and it's never been a problem.

| I use Wellness Core. I put about a teaspoon or two mixed into his dry kibble and refrigerate the rest in a reusable container. I'll use the remainder for about 3 days. We've never actually gone through an entire can (and we use the smallest can).

| I use those baby food trays that look like ice cube trays with lids. I open a can, and fill up 2 trays. There is normally enough left to use for 4-6 meals. After a day or two, I put the cubes in freezer bags. I always have at least 2 different kinds in the freezer, and give them a different one in the am and the other in the pm. One cube is the perfect amount to mix with their kibble. I used to throw it out after a couple days before I got the trays, but buying the trays was the best $14 I have spent. I am getting 3 times as many meals. In a normal sized can, I get 26-30 meals. I also do this with the pumpkin, so I have it ready. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I use regular ice cube trays, making desired size cubes & freeze. After frozen either dump them into a container or zip-lock bag. Take out & thaw as needed. Saves a lot of waste & guessing.

| Thanks, although I worked in a daycare and the moms did this for their baby food, so I kinda copied them Quote:
Walmart had the best price, and I wanted something made for food and not just ice cube trays. These are sturdy, and bpa free. I LOVE these trays | |
