I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Halloween Prizes Rip-off!!! I've heard that two of the prizes on the Halloween contest thread valued at $25.00 require the person to spend $75.00 to receive the "prize". This is not a prize, it's a coupon! Does this sound fair to other members? How many of you could afford to redeem your "prize?" I'm really disappointed that Yorkietalk Vendors would do such a thing, and hope admin doesn't allow it.

| I agree. That is so wrong. A prize is supposed to be just that, a prize. You should NOT be required to spend money to receive your prize.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Did the winner of the prize/coupon speak to the vendor about this and mention that this isn't a very nice way to handle their business here? Perhaps the vendor and prize winner can work something out, I would hope so. I hate to see more drama and members leave over another squabble that could possibly be worked out, if everyone uses some common sense and decency. I am one of the vendors that donated a prize and will have to ship my "not so light/small prize to Canada., the shipping isn't going to inexpensive. Did I think about that possibility of the winner being from Canada, when I donated - No, I didn't....but, in no way do I expect my winner to incur any cost to receive her prize....it wouldn't be right!

| Very unfair. Did the vendor make the stipulation ahead of time, when she donated the "so-called prize?" If it only is coming out after the prize was won, that is sort of false advertising and reneging on what was supposed to be a gift. I hope they just go ahead and make it right with the winner.

| Let's Hold On a Minute Maybe this should be handled in PM format. I think we should give the administrators a chance to verify the prize format before we all comment. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. If you won a prize contat the vendor and ask for clarification. I am sure they will work something out to be FAIR. I have had nothing but OUTSTANDING customer service in every way from YT vendors. I'd hate to see prizes disappear because of this. I'll just sit back and wait to see what happens. Oh, by the way, Congratulations to all of the winners. The photos were incredible. I just wish we could get our Bella to sit still long enough to get any kind of picture. |
