| Happy's Vet care update! I just received the call about Happy from our Vet. He has come through the surgeries just fine!!!!!!!! Small glitches, whilst removing the recessed testicle a cyst was discovered, they called me and removed that as well. She does not feel a biopsy is needed = phew! Both testicles were easily removed - yay! The saddest part of his neglect was teeth...he has all removed except for his bottom two canines and three little ones between the canines. Those were cleaned well and will need to be maintained by Mommy. She said the jaw has deteriorated badly from the infected teeth, if she was to have tried to move those teeth (since they were actually rooted in well) she might have broken his jaw. Those teeth will also keep his tongue in She has put a micro chip in as I am very concerned about losing him, but also who ever put him through this horrible life he has thus lived before us will try to come forward to claim him. She said between the Chip, all the medical care, parasite care, etc. it will establish ownership for me should anyone attempt to reclaim him. Again, she spoke about the severity and neglect of this poor little one, how it was something that could have been rectified long before and it was a clear case of neglect. I get to pick up Happy after 4 pm and I cannot wait to see him, I am so thankful that he is going to be able to live as he should, loved and adored by those who are truly "owned" by him! Thank you all for your prayers and support, it has meant the world to myself and my husband as well. Happy thanks you too, I told him that you all said prayers and have been wishing him well since he has come into our life. I can honestly say that I am so enamored with this little creature that we will definitely be getting another Yorkie some day, he has truly inspired us and we see what a wonderful, tenacious, giving and loving breed this is even though he has suffered much neglect. |

| I'm so glad Happy came through fine! You and your husband are his true guardian angels. Thank you for caring so much for him! The poor little honey, going through all that neglect! I wish there was a law that made the owners experience what they make their pets experience, when it comes to abuse and neglect! Bet you are counting the minutes until you can go cuddle him! Hugs to all of you!

| Yayyyy Happy!!!! I'm so happy for Happy. I know exactly how you feel about Happy. Brandi is my first dog ever (I've always own cats...or more like they've always own me)but somehow this 5lb bundle of joy has change my life completely for the better. I am a more relaxed and content person because of her. I can say without a doubt that I need her probably more than she needs me. Brandi and Happy have the same background so I am rooting for Happy. One other note. My beautiful spoiled little girl is now a bonafide Diva. When I first bought her home she was so grateful and thankful, now two yrs later, I've created a monster . She want from an attitude of gratitude to an attitude of entitlement. She now believes I exist soley for her as does my cat! So when Happy is feeling better, he will be taking you for granted and bossing you around just like Brandi does to me(she wakes me up in the middle of the night to get in a bed she is quite capable of getting in without my assistance). It's okay though because I promised her that as long as she is with me, she will live the life of a diva especially since the first 7 yrs of her life was so horrible. | Hello all and thank you again for the wonderful replies! Happy is home and snoozing on one of his beds, he is so tired and drained, his little tongue sticks out the side right now LOL, I am not laughing too hard as I don't want to insult him He has pain meds that will be given every twenty four hours, special rinse for his gums and remaining teeth - no sutures to remove. He now also has a micro chip as I had said above. He will be feeling much better I am sure as each day goes by and as our Vet said his mouth probably feels so much better already without out all the rot and infection. Thank you all again!! I will keep you updated as we go along! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Great to hear Happy is home and recovering. He will feel so much better in a few days. Nikki had a much neglected past as evidenced by his weigh and horribly rotten teeth when found. He had all his teeth removed and he was like a new dog even at his age. For some reason his tongue never hangs out. I was sure it would. They did do major gum build up too so maybe that helped. I am so thrilled Happy came in to your lives.

| I am so glad he came through it ok. I thought about him all day. Its too bad about his teeth. At least, they won't be hurting him anymore. Give Happy some extra hugs from us tonight. I hope he isn't too miserable. I know he is just glad to be back home with his family.
