| Pics of Belly Trims? I remember seeing photos posted of tummy trims on yorkies but I can't find it in a search anywhere. Can some of you post tummy trims pics of your yorkies? I don't know how much to take off or how far to go up. Jesse's fur get knotted on his belly, I really need to do something to it. Thanks for any help.

| I found these... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/550234-post2.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/550888-post14.html Attached is Jackson about 5 weeks after being groomed.. but the groomer usually just shaves all around the private area... almost like a 'circle' around it and then she also cleans his butt up.

Beemer's hair is long but he is trimmed on his belly so he doesn't get so nasty when he pees. I don't have any pictures of it though. | |

| I dont think I Have a picture but Lacis is totally shaved so are under her legs to prevent knotting , however she is cottony coated. Its pretty easy do do yourself I dont recall the blade number I use but the hair is about 1/4 inch long

| I would love to do that on my pups cottony coat, but I am afraid she would be too cold this time of year. I hate having to comb out the mats that her harness makes. I feel so mean even though I do all I can to keep it from pulling her skin. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I use a 10 blade and shave the entire groin area and down the top of the inner thighs to prevent matting. I also shave arm pits. On dogs with longer hair like a yorkie in full coat but with a belly that mats easily i'll shave a tunnel from their belly button up to their arm pits. its all hidden by the outer coat so no one else sees. i don't worry about them being cold because they usually wear sweaters in the winter any way.

I have to comb Natalie more than once a day to get all the knots out of her. The harness is horrible for making knots. Try adding some baby powder to the knots. It does help them to release alot easier.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ath-belly.html Check this thread. Breny has some pics of what she does with her boys who wear belly bands. Plus she shaves the sanitary and up the belly to the chest
