YT Addict | Over-night bag? When and if I get a Yorkie baby I am going to take her/him everywhere! We already do that with Coco though. But, Coco wasn't socialized by her owners before us and she HATES other dogs. There is only one dog she likes and that is because she hangs out with her all the time, that's what makes me think if we get another pup she'll be okay after a while. Anyway, I go over to my grandmother's home quite often because she owns a business and I help/work there. So, I would take her (I'm just going to start saying Stella, because that is what I want to name her) to my grandma's often. I was writing down all of the things that I would bring along and just to put it out there, I am an extreme over packer!!! So here is what I would bring: Food in a travel container that has two bowls and has a section for food Carrier water (from home) Treats Nutri-cal and/or vitimans Baby wipes Leash Harness X-pen and inside it will have: Blanket Bed Pee pads** Con't with other Poo bags and holder 2-3 toys Bully stick Mini shampoo and conditioner Car seat with all travel things Brush Top-knot bands/scrunchies Bow or two Coat if its winter Boots if it's winter Clothes if it's summer A bell or something that can be attached to the collar so it makes noise Okay, now for the two questions. First, Do you see anything that I'm missing?? Second, What do you recommend putting all of this in? I really like the Yorkie bag at CVS and I need to get one or two, but anybody that has it, Can most or at least half of this stuff fit in there? If I need I can bring two. P.S. I was going to post this in the traveling section but that thread just seems like not a lot of people visit

| Haha, you are an extreme packer. Levi and I travel frequently. I used to pack a lot, but I've cut way back. We just take the essentials unless we will be gone for more than just the weekend. I either pack all of his belongings in his carrier or his crate. I usually pack with the carrier, but if we are going somewhere unfamiliar to him, I bring his crate instead (he likes to nap in there occasionally). We usually bring: harness, collar with ID tags, leash, sweater/jacket, belly band, his blanket, grooming wipes, food in travel containers, a bag of treats and a toy or two. All packed nicely in his carrier or crate.

| hahaha, you sound like an over packer to me. Let me just share what I bring for a day trip. (I swear Kaji's kwigy bo carrier doubles as a yorkie "diaper bag") -snack sized sip lock baggie with kibble -bottled water -travel collapsible bowl (it can be folded up real small. I got it at Dollar tree) -squeaky ball/plush toy (whatever is his fave at the moment) -sweater -poop bags (also a dollar tree purchase) And of course he already has a car seat in the car, and he wears his harness before we even walk out of the door. You might consider leaving a few things at your grandma's if your a frequent visitor. When I was on my own, I spent every weekend at my mom and dad's house. I bought a separate set of bowls for their house, an extra bag of food, a bed, and a few extra toys that we could leave behind. For your little one, you might want to leave an extra expen/crate so your not lugging it around frequently. It gets annoying after a while.

| This is so funny because when I went to Nashville (by car....12 hr trip) to visit my mother, I swear Brandi had more luggage than me..... Of course everyone made fun of me. |

| Wow, that is alot of stuff, but as I have not traveled with my little yorkie, I really can't say what is needed. What caught my eye wahs where you mentioned a "yorkie bag at CVS". I haven't seen one, what's it like? Also, my daughter had bought my husband a personalized bag for when he went to the dog park with our Vizsla, from Cafe Press. Good Luck! |

| Wow - now that's being prepared! I take my little girl with me everywhere also, but other than her carrier, which she sleeps in when she is at the office with me, her food, water and pee pads, we bring nothing else.

| I thought this doggie duffle was just adorable, but we have three already so don't need more or I'd get this one. You could even have your fur-baby's name embroidered on the top yellow. Would be darling. Bikerjunk.com Item 212554878 - [Smile Dog] Embroidered Applique Fabric Art Duffle Bag / Shoulder Bag / Travel Bag (12.2*9.1*4)

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | You ARE a great packer. That looks like an AWESOME list! I'm gonna steal some of those ideas. You might consider a first-aid kit as well. Tweezers are nice to have if they get anything in their nose or ears. Something sterile to clean and wrap a wound. Ask your vet if he/she would consider giving you a prescription pain med for emergencies. I usually carry Rimadyl. And for a non-prescription stress reliever, I like Rescue Remedy. And I tend to misplace leashes on trips. Maybe have a backup.

| A diaper bag, would most likely fit all the little things, that's what they're made for eh? I'm getting Harley one, cause it has all the compartments everywhere. Walmart has these really fashionable ones, that I really want for Harley. Here is what I usually bring for a weekend: -small container of kibble -1 can of tripe - toothpaste - nutrical - two collapsable bowls - a ton of toys, making sure to have his favorite, and a rubber chewy one. - two blankets - a bed - collapsable crate - collapsable baby gate - pee pads - poo bags - leash - harness - jacket (in winter) - treats - Bottled water for long car rides - sometimes I pack his purse too, incase we go shopping, so I can smuggle him. All of this, believe it or not, except the gate and crate, fits in a diaper bag. For our two week christmas vacation, I'll have the same list just more of it.

| yeah that's food, it's not a full meal type thing, but it works as a supplement to kibble. It's wet food. Smells disgusting. lol. But it's really good for them.
