| Is Louie a Silkshire? I've seen lots of threads concerning whether or not people own yorkies or silkys. I must admit I bought my first dog on a whim at a pet store because I fell in love with him. He was sold as a Yorkie but he is large and when he's out people often ask me what kind of dog he is He is 2 yrs & 6 months old and weighs a healthy 9lbs. He is a very sturdy dog. I've attached some pictures of him. When I look at him I sometimes see both breeds. He has my heart and is my love but I'm curious to hear what all you yorkie connosisseurs think? |

| He looks like a Yorkie to me. He is very handsome and poses well for the camera. My Sophie Kate is "sturdy" also, she is 2 years old and weights 8 lbs. I call her a BBY (Big Beautiful Yorkie).

| He is a cutie! My Hutch (he passed in December at 16) was a big boy. He weighed between 10 & 11 pounds. People asked me too what breed he was. I think your cute little guy is a Yorkie.

| Looks like a Yorkie to me. Here is a Silky (first two pic) and here is a Yorkie (second two pics). Well-bred Yorkies and Silky's are very easy to tell apart. I've actually really fallen in love with Silky's through my research. Sometimes I REALLY think my Jackson is a Silky. He has a Silky body and face more and fits most Silky descriptions to a tee, he's 15lbs also ... your little one has a Yorkie face, IMO. But of course it's hard to know for sure. Really, odds are he's a Yorkie because Silky's are a lot less common. But who knows. Silky's were created from Yorkies and Australian Terriers.

| Looks like a yorkie to me too. He's probably just a big, but very cute boy. Silkies are #78 in dog registrations in the AKC, and yorkies are #3 for 2009, so chances are, he really is a yorkie.

He is a YORKIE to me! I had someone on here last year or maybe 2 years ago, try to tell me that my Fiona is a Silky, not that I have anything against them, but don't tell me what breed my dog is when I know where she came from, and what she came from! He is a handsome YORKIE boy you got!

| He looks like a yorkie to me. A cute one at that! I love his name. My Louis is pronounced Louie. I just spell it L-O-U-I-S after Louis Vuitton!
