| It's A Slider I have to tell this story although Cleo is not a Yorkie I just had to tell this story. Well Cleo is our Basset Hound she has a sister who is also her littermate. Well Cleo is a daredevil Chloe is a chicken. Well in our backyard we have a playground that was left to us when we bought our home. It's a two level playground with swings a sliding pond and a attached playhouse also two levels. Well when Chloe and Cleo first started using the playhouse they stayed on the bottom. Now Cleo goes onto the second level which is pretty high. When I first saw her up there I was in a panic. When I called her she didn't know how to come down and she finally jumped. My heart was in my mouth. I thought she was going to break her legs, but she was okay. Then this morning my friend noticed her on the top again and she called her. Well Cleo jumped on the sliding pond and slid down. It was really hysterical. Now she does it all the time. If I can get it on tape I'm going to send it in to America's Funniest Videos. I just had to share this story even though she's not a Yorkie. Last edited by lexi43; 10-19-2010 at 04:53 AM. |

| Please post the video when you get it, that is so funny! That is a thinking dog for sure. I think Chloe and Cleo are darling, really cute faces. Is Cleo the one looking into the camera in the picture?

| I hope you catch it on video -- would love to see it too! What nice looking Bassets! I'll bet your little dare devil is a hoot to watch! Sounds like a lot of fun. Do watch out for any more of those jumps down though. Dogs will jump from much higher than they should. It is hard on their joints, hips, knees, legs and back. My Jack Russell is a jumper too and we found her occasional limp is from an old neck injury that the vet said is a typical jump injury. I have no idea as to how to keep her from jumping though!

| I'll try to get a video but right now all I have is a Flip and AOL blocked it so I can't even put it on UTUBE. I'll try to get a photo in the meantime to show you. Cleo is always doing something. She is very daring unlike her isister who's afraid of her own shadow. She got her sister locked in the shed once, and one day she climbed the steps of our above ground pool. We were sure she was going to jump into the pool, but she turned around a came down again. She is a hero though because one day my cat got out and we spend hours looking for her. Cleo found her under the shed and led us to her. |

| My friend had a basset hound named Daisy and she was the sweetest girl. She'd always come running to greet us when she saw us coming. She passed away last year due to old age.

| So cute If my parents hadn't fallen in love with Yorkies, my mom was highly considering a basset. They're such sweet dogs.

| That is so funny! Really, I'm amazed she even has anything to do with the playhouse. Can she see over the fence when she is on the top? She sure is a bright dog to figure that out. I bet she's a hoot all the time.

| She stands on the top of the playhouse and barks at my neighbor's dog it's really funny because she howls like a wolf. And you're right she really is a trip. |

| They have to have personalities bigger than life! They sound like they're such happy and active bassets.
