Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Do any of your babies do this? I keep Poppy in a play pen at night and when nobody is home to keep her out of trouble. She has her pee pad in there at the opposite end from her bed, food/water and toys. Every time she poops on her pad she will cry until I clean it up, she just dosnt like to stay in there with a poop! Of course I clean it up as soon as I see it and put a fresh pad down, but she will cry to tell me. Anyone else experienced this? or is she just being a little madam?

| my girls won't use pee pads that's next to their home. They cry and bark at me, so I can let them out of pen and they go pee & poop in their "bathroom"= pee pad that's far far far awayyyyyy from their home My boys don't care at all, they can sleep right next to their poop with out any problem.

| My middle boy, Kalani, always lets out a sharp bark to let me know when he's pooped on the pad - he stands over it waiting for me to come and pick it up If we're out in the yard he barks and then 'points' to it - LOL!

I often wake up thinking christmas has come early because my bedroom looks like the north pole (shredded her pee pad in the night). But I supose its better to clean up shredded pad then scattered poop.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Instead of a piddle pad, Tallulah's breeder uses a few layers of paper (she buys sheets in bulk from a moving company) then shreds a few more sheets in long strips at one end of the playpen for her to use. Her blanket and dishes are at the other end. I've been doing the same since I don't want her to shred and possibly swallow parts of the piddle pad. I would worry especially about the plastic lining of the pad. Having the shredded paper seems to help keep Tallulah from tracking through damp, and she's pretty fastidious about only pooping in one spot and staying away from it (outside of the playpen she will poop wherever she happens to be when she gets the urge). Tallulah doesn't tell me when she goes -- most of the time she doesn't need to... |

Boy aren't you the lucky one, when I first got Brandi (rescued), she had no problems with walking, playing and do just about anything and everything under the sun with her poop. I literally was coming home and giving her a bath cleaning her expen everyday. Now that she has turned into a diva, she won't go any where near her poop now. She covers it up with her pee pad. | |

| My boy hates having poo around him and will cry until it is flushed. Fussy! I wonder if this also has something to do with letting me know something happened so he can get a treat. Both he and my girl prance out of the potty area to get a treat!

| You are so lucky! Before CJ was trained to go outside he never let us know when we poo'd, so there were plenty of times when he stepped on the pad and had to get a bath afterwards So glad that stage is over! |

| Robbo does not like poop near him and will cry very loudly until I take him out if he needs one no matter what time of night LOL...I often find myself outside in the street in my pjs at 3 or 4am! Although he ate another dogs poop for the first and only (I hope) time about 4 weeks ago so how he will not poop in his bed is beyond me if he is willing to eat other peoples (whoops dogs not people lol)!!!!!! |

| Josh has similar mannerisms. He likes to stay clean and live in a nice environment. When he goes potty on his puppy pad inside his kennel, he uses his nose to flip the pad over, and he uses his nose to push the pad away from him. Then he usually cries and raises one of his front paws. |
