| Terrier instinct, or just a little quirky? Dexter has this funny thing he does: he'll gently scratch (usually just 2 little taps) on things, then sniff where he scratched. He does this on the plastic planters in the backyard, the garbage can, the cat's feeder (he ignores the cat food)... just about anything that stands upright. He doesn't hurt anything. We call him the "Scratch 'n Sniff Puppy." We'd like to think he's being a typical terrier and looking for vermin, or whatever. The vet thinks he's being a little quirky/OCD. Whatcha think? |
