| D Day- Round Three Today is the day that Bella is going to be fixed after two failed previous attempts. I think she is trying to get out of it. The first time was canceled due to her going into season the day before her surgery. I just looked at her and said " Are you serious, right now." She ran off with her tail a waggin. The second time she became ill and couldn't have it done. We all still think she was faking it . Well that brings us today. So, far so good. Except for me, I am freaking out. I have to be at work at 6am, so I don't get to take her to the vet. I have all these thoughts running through my head of what can go wrong. One of those being they don't do the right surgery. I have went over and over with the daddy. Ok I even gave him a copy of the list estimate and told him this all that is allowed to be done. Please tell me that I won't be like this all day. I feel the tears coming already....this won't be good at work. How did one 2lb furbutt take over my heart so fast. Geesh what a day.

| It's always more scary when you can't be there but I'll bet you will get a call saying she's fine as soon as she is out of surgery. You can give her tons of love tonight Hang in there.

| I just went thru this almost 3 weeks ago with Princess and Ty. I actually cried right before leaving them at the vet office. And of course I worried the entire morning until I could call to find out how they were both doing. They both went thru surgery and recovery with no problems. The one thing that "freaked" me out was the night that I brought dogs home, Princess had some blood in her urine. I called the Emergency Vet and was told what else to look for. Told to keep a close eye on her and to call our vet the next morning. Called our vet the next morning and was told this is "normal" from what I described. Just as long as it is not only just blood. And then I had a call from my parents telling me my Grandmother passed away. So, another call to the vet since I knew it was not best to leave Princess home with both my husband and daughter both at work full time. So options were to take Princess with me or hospitalize her. The vet told me Princess would be happiest to be with me so I took her with me from Ohio to Georgia. She did great. No further problems. Just was extremely protective of her so that she did not get too excited or anything that would require a visit to a vet in Georgia. Other than this, Princess and Ty did great recovering over the past few weeks. I can get Princess's stitches out either tomorrow or Saturday. Can hardly wait because even with washing paws and cleaning her face, using coat conditioner each day while grooming her, she needs a bath.... BADLY!!! She normally has a bath weekly. I think the most important thing after spay surgery is to make sure your little one does not get too excited, no jumping or running around. And to either put a baby onsie or longer puppy tshirt on her, to keep her from bothering the surgical site or stitches. I kept a preemie onesie on Princess or longer shirt for the first week. And since Princess's surgery was done by laser, I had to put laser "lotion" on the surgical site twice a day. (((HUGS))).... I know how you are feeling right now. My little Princess is my "baby" and go thru similar worries as I had with my "skin babies" when they were younger. |

| Sending hugs your way. It's so hard to do this. She'll be fine and you'll have your little girl back home soon.

| Thank You All I went to work and couldn't concentrate to save my life, was grumpy and wanted to go home. Bella's daddy dropped her off at 8am, my cell phone starts ringing at 9am. I am thinking oh my gosh something has gone wrong(I am giving the clean version of what I really said as my mommy would not be proud of the potty mouth.) The daddy couldn't remember if I said to microchip her....well it took the next 10 minutes to bring my blood pressure down....MEN! It took everything in me not to call the vets office every time I took a break. I finally got the call that she did wonderful and really wanted to go home with her momma tonight. I picked her up late this afternoon, the vet came out and told she did really well but she still hadn't eaten. She brought her out to me and I have never been so glad to see that cute little face in all my life. She was pulling away from the vet to get to me, the vet said that is the most action she has seen out of her all afternoon. I love our vet but I just couldn't imagine leaving her their all night. I am happy to report that she ate her dinner and is now snuggled up in her blankie on my lap. I will be putting the onsie on her tonight so she doesn't mess with her surgery site. Thank you all for the positive thoughts. I don't even remember going through this when I had my daughter. To add to my stress my daughter got her drivers license today too......does it ever end. I think I am going to take some Tylenol PM and call it a day.

YT Addict | I'm glad she did well! I felt the same when Coco got neutered. They put a cone on her head and I never hear anybody else talk about this. Did anyone else's little girl have a cone?

| It is so good to hear that Bella did well with her surgery today and is now home with you. I know exactly how you have felt today. It is amazing how our little "fur kids" become so much like our "skin kids" with all the worries, etc. Congratulations to your daughter getting her drivers license today. That is always a big step in our lives also. |

| I know this is a serious thread, but this had me laughing!! I don't have any kids, only one furchild. I was a mess when he was neutered, and he didn't make it any easier on me when he was bouncing off the walls and he was suppose to be resting. I was worrying he would hurt himself all the time! I hope all goes well and Bella goes easy on you. She might bounce back quicker than she's suppose to. That to me was the hardest part.
