| IAMs and Eukanuba recall pet food I stopped in Ft. Collins to pick up some food for my babies when I noticed a letter announcing that there was going to be a shortage of food because of a recall. I went home and looked it up and sure enough, there were possible SALMONELLA traces in one of the machines... I didn't know if anyone had already posted this, but I thought I'd share. | My dad feeds this, even though I'm trying to convince him to switch.... is this recall still in effect, I couldn't find anything on the iams website... I noticed the article was dated last month... if you have any more information that would be great.

| It was recalled a while ago, and still can't find any Iams Low Residue in the Chicago area in the kibble for Maxine. I called them, and they said they aren ow making it again, but it will take a while to get to the brokers, and then into the Vet's Offices. I am not sure, but if I recall, no dogs got sick from the Salmanella that was found in a few bags. |

| I am not sure where exactly the place is where they found the traces in the machines. the clerk just informed me that they weren't going to have these certain brands available because they were going to rebuild a bunch of machines and it was going to be anywhere from 2-4 months. And I live in Wyoming, got the bag in Colorado, so probably this is in the western region. I wish I could give more information, but that's all I have based on the clerk and the information I have found online. I don't know where the manufacturer is located at with this trace. My chewy was having some diarrhea and vomiting issues yesterday, but he is over it now. I thought maybe the bag I had, had traces in it. So I was a little paranoid. However, he seems to be acting just fine now. Yesterday I was doing one of those shake and pour pancakes mixes when my husband didn't tighten the lid... BATTER EVERYWHERE and the two were all over trying to clean it up! oops!! I'm thinking that's why Chewy was having issues last night. but I'm keeping an eye on him.
