YT Addict | I need help with this poop issue, please! Hi everyone! Axel is now just one years old...he is the most spoiled rotten baby I have ever raised (next to my real kids, who are now in there 30's) He has always been trained to go pee pee on the pad, does not got outside much! he used to poop once in awhile on the pad like when he was 4 months old. Now...he like i said is just 1 and for the last couple months like 6 months (I know why have I not done something before now) cause I thought that, he would grow out of it. sorry this is so long...So now he poops next to the pad or 4 feet from the pad or...down the hall, or in the dining room. Does anyone know how to change this habit. I have tried picking it up and putting it on the pad for the next time nope! he goes over and smell it but then goes poop somewhere else.....thank god he pees on the pad and its not the other way around....I recently started using the hospital washable pads (love them) but nope that didn't work either...I give up, my only saving grace is that its easy to pick up....and my husband loves this yorkie as much as me...my problem is more when I go to my daughters and she has little ones, or my parents where my dad flips out! So help!!! please!!!! Thanks, have a good day all my yorkie sisters and brothers! |

| I had the same problem with Zoe my Shorkie. She would not use the wee wee pad at all when she was loose in the house, but then we started confining her to a corralle and she started using the wee wee pad. I now have her cross trained to go outside and on a nasty day she will use the wee wee pad. I'm having the same problem with Zach our 5 month old Yorkie, not only does he not want to go on the wee wee pad, but he eats the pad. Sometimes if we're really lucky he will go on it, but then he streads it and if he poops, it's all over the floor. Do you have him confined to one area after his meals. If they have too much room they will never learn, take if from me. |

| Time to go back to basics. Use an xpen and limit his space. Do not let him have the run of the house unless you watch him like a hawk. Then you can catch him circling before going and either put him on the pad or take him outside and praise when he goes where he should. If you put him on the pad and he runs off, grab him and put him on it again. If he runs again put him in the xpen on the pad and leave him there or stay outside with him till he goes...your will has to be stronger than his stubborness... that is hard. I had one just like that and it took me 3 months of back to basics and her stubborness was strong and I almost caved more then once...good luck
