| Any unique play ideas while they're home alone? I'm certain that this brilliant group of YT'ers has some very interesting and unique ideas that keep their furbutts occupied while they're home alone. Rocco has the usual - chewies, toys, Kong toy - while I'm away. What can I give him / leave for him to keep that busy little mind occupied and out of trouble? So far he's been great, but I want to keep him stimulated while I'm away for 6 hours a day.

| - Freeze peanut butter/wet food in a kong and give to him - Nina Ottosson dog toys - other types of interactive dog toys - hide treats so he has to find them - have the blinds open so he can look outside if you get traffic in front of the window |

| I haven't gotten a puppy yet, so I don't have any good suggestions, but I am curious as to what others have to say so I'm gonna BUMP this up!

| My experience I did a lot of interactive treats and toys. But they all involve treats of course, and with that I find that Melanie has a lot more tartar than she should, so I totally reduced it to almost zero. Sometimes when I'm home during the day during the week (weekends we are always out and about with her) she sleeps most of the time. But I agree that getting another furbaby may be the ideal, I just got my youngest and can't wait until she's ready to come home |

| I agree with getting another furbaby. I have two Basset Hounds who are littermates and they are busy with each other all day. Then I got a Shorkie but she was too small to interact with the big girls so we ended up with a Yorkie to keep the Shorkie company. Ok so we went a little bit overboard but everybody is happy and we can leave them knowing everybody has company. |

| My first yorkie always loved something to pull on. I used to tie stuff to a table leg and she'd pull and tug on it - entertaining herself! I wish I'd had a bungee cord back then.
