Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Has anybody set up a puppycam? I've seen some nannycams, and wonder if anybody has done this for their puppies. I will have a week's vacation to gradually get my puppy used to being alone for short times when she gets to come home. After that, I have arranged for a family member to come in for a couple of hours mid-day while I'm at work. I would like to be able to check on her while she's alone and also make sure she is getting the visitation she has been promised (with the full knowledge of her sitter). Another family member will be standing by and can be there within minutes if need be. Has anybody else done this? I'd like any advice on how you set this up. I also wonder if anyone has set up two-way communication and if so, does it freak out the puppy to hear its owner's voice without seeing him/her? |

| When I first got Belle I set up my macbook and my iphone so that I could keep an eye on her and what she's doing. The iphone app is called iCam. It works perfectly but you just can't have two-way communication. |

| I've set one up.I used a program call call webcam lite. It's free and easy to setup. I watch my little one all the time on my webcam. As a matter of fact, she was able to escape and I actually recorded her escaping. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I'm not aware of any that have two way communication. I use the icam software on my ipod and my laptop's web cam so that I can have access where ever I go.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I wanted a little more flexibility in positioning the camera than my Macbook would allow -- so I ended up ordering a remote camera that can pan and tilt on ebay. Will let you know how it works out. Thanks for the info! |

| That sounds so fun....I can't wait to hear how it works out. I always wonder what she does all day. when I come home I usually try to feel the couch to see where she was laying.

| I'm definitely interested in how it works for you! Let me know! I've been thinking of using one while we vacation and have house/dog sitters stay over.

| I was just talking about this with my DH today, but I agree... my Macbook does not have any movement, so a remote control camera would be amazing! Let me know how it goes and if it worth the investment

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices This is the camera I ordered. It is coming from China but the seller has good feedback and I haven't yet had a problem with an overseas seller. Will post results when I get it. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I have done it before and it was really cool. I had a girl that would whelp anytime but not showing any signs. I needed to run to my mothers house. She only lives a few minutes. I put her on webcam and went on over. I watched her the whole time and really got to enjoy my visit because I wasn't worried out of my mind. Everyone thought I was nuts.. but that is somewhat true so don't mind..lol
