Try Hancocks and ebay -- ebay is a great source for that kind of "stuff 'n such".

My daughter has a sewing business on ETSY and buys hers at kamsnap.com, you will need a snap press though..I used to hammer on the little metal ones on her baby clothes- these plastic ones are way better!

Oops- she said a snap pliers would be fine, you're not going thru heavy layers- but that is still $27.00! The metal snaps I used to use are still available at Hancock or walmart, a hammer tool is about $7-really frustrating without the tool, I remember spending lots of time digging the slammed one out and replacing...

| I looked at Hancocks and see what you mean about needing the hammer tool, I'll be sure to get it also. Just looked at Kamsnap, never hard of them. They do sound nice though. Ok, so if I get the plastic, I need to get the snap press, right? Also, what size to you think for dog clothes, maybe 14 or 16? Thanks so much for the help!

The snap Pliers would be plenty, the press would be for thicker layers(baby diapers). My DD uses size 16 snaps, the 14 are quite tiny but good if your using rows of them, like down the front of a baby outfit, size 16 for the crotch snaps. Kamsnap has a snap of the week, they also will send samples. Sounds like a great project, Good Luck!
