YT 500 Club Member | Shes a mistake some lady ...oh i almost belted her grrr ok this is what happened I had Sienna my little one ( 2.5 ish lbs ) out with me all by herself today shes a chorkie so she looks a bit different but were having a blast at petsmart she never gets to go anywhere without her big sis so she was enjoying her mommy time. she HAS TO get loves from everyone she see's so shes quite a little diva and a show stopper ( arent they all ) well shes getting tired after about 30 mins of excited jumping and yapping and kitty licking and where leaving. Some snob lady says Where do you get a dog like that?? I say well usually from a breeder and she goes OOHH they BREED them like that shes not just a MISTAKE and asks if she can take a picture of her to show her husband!!!! OMG I NEARLY DIED and Sienna totally understood her my usually cheerful pup hunkered down and pouted right there on the side walk WELL I NEVER GRRR I picked my baby up and repeatedly told her that she was beautiful and mommy loves her we got in the car and she laid on my lap and hid her face in the crock of my elbow and damn if she didnt cry. I shoulda asked that lady if HER CHILDREN were mistakes i was shocked speechless. Look at this face MISTAKE??

No Longer a Member | Why would she want to take a picture? That's weird. She looks almost all yorkie anyway...comments from strangers that get posted on here just astound me sometimes, do people not have manners anymore? |

| Try not to let it bug you any longer, as that woman isn't worth another second of your time. Why do people think it's ok to be rude to each other these days? Some people appear to have no manners, or have never heard of common courtesy. I hope you didn't let her take a photo!!

| What's a chorkie? In any case, she is the cutest!!! My Charlie (who was supposedly a full-bred yorkie) isn't. I don't know what he is. He's much bigger than we expected (told he was going to be 4 pounds and he's probably about 12 right now.) (And I only wanted a small dog because of my hands and having a hard time lifting.) Even though he's hard for me to pick up and he looks a little different, he's GORGEOUS (and a brat) and I love him to pieces. We all do. But it stuns me how many times people say, "What kind of dog is THAT?" (Not in a nice way.) |

| She wanted a picture because she was jealous. If she wanted to know where to get one, and to take a picture she must want one too. Don't let her get to you . Some people can be so rude. |

| your baby is adorable! I had an incident too this past weekend.. A girl saw Thomas and said..'He almost looks like a big yorkie'.. I said..'that's exactly what he is..and floppy ears too'! then she asked if she could take a pic of him to show her mom.. I thought...'at least she asked before she took the pic'!

| Your chorkie is gorgeous and that lady was just ignorant and rude!! One time I had Rio in my arms as I was paying for something at the drugstore and A lady in front of me glared at Rio and said "my daughter has a Yorkie. What a dumb dog." I was so shocked I didn't know what to say! Luckily my outspoken DH shot back, "yeah well our Yorkie is smart and she'll bite you if you keep talking **bleep**!!!" | Sienna is absolutely adorable and I would have told that horrid woman to mind her own business and to take a flying leap! That would be the edited version BUT...... I'm going to say something that might make upset you but here goes........... I do not believe in mixing dogs to make puppies to sell EVER. That is not breeding for the betterment of the breed and only for making money. Let me add....... I have 2 yorkie/maltese mixes that are both rescues. They are IMHO beautiful and I love them just the same as if they were pure bred. I'd be very upset if some moron came up to me and told me that they were weird or ugly looking. At the same time I would never purchase a mixed breed puppy from a breeder. But this was not always my opinion, it has been learned over time with my experience with rescue and YT. Not that many years ago I would have purchased a puppy from a greeder. But my exposure and education has taught me that there are NO REPUTABLE breeders that will mix breeds to make puppies. There are way too many poorly bred dogs being sold for nothing other than greed to justify mixing of breeds. Plus the many more that are PTS daily in shelters all over this country. Finally....... I also have a AKC 12 lb Yorkie that people have commented that she is NOT a Yorkie. It is mean and hurtful when it is said to someone about a baby that they love. She was purchased from a "breeder" by a friend and she IS poorly bred and not bred for fun and profit.
